onefreeman, that is perfect with me. I realize that this may not be the most convenient time for some people, but hopefully this will generate some interest. Also, there may be people that are not interested in golf, but that should in no way disuade anyone from joining the others for dinner.
If anyone has course or restaurant suggestions, please raise them.

If you would like to get out of the city, and like desert plants and stuff, I would suggest a visit to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, in Superior, Arizona, about an hour drive East of Phoenix.

If anyone is interested, I own a timeshare that sleeps four at the Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale, near 56th and Shea. I will not be using it this year and instead of banking the week I will let it go at a VERY reasonable price for this prime time week. If interested, e-mail me. Not using the board to sell something; just thought if there was a need to help someone wanting to attend...

Just bringing this thread forward...
I've firmed up my travel plans and will be in town only until the morning of 12/24.

Rats. I found out I have to work the afternoon and evening of the 26th. That means I'll only be available for lunch. But if that doesn't work for others, then that's OK too. Of course, lunch would be the perfect precursor to golf for the rest of you!

Early lunch (downtown for motnot work convenience?) on 26 Dec? Golf after? Followed by the 19th hole that flows into dinner?
Sounds like just what the doctor ordered...

It's getting closer to that time.
Who is still interested in dinner one night?
I am not sure yet but I might have to pass on the golf.

Tolarian, something that no one mentioned. The Mormon Temple in Mesa (massive structure, biggest outside SLC, if I remember right) has a Christmas display every year. At least they did when I lived there, but I will assume they still do. They pull it down pretty quickly after Christmas, but it is worth a trip. I *think* it is on Main, but it has been 4 years since I moved back to LA.
Enjoy your trip.
