AAdvantage Cornflake Party in Estonia Anyone?
One day I did a search and found this weird website called "Flyertalk".Since then I have done 3 mileage runs out of pure insanity.
My First one was a 48 segment Air Canada promotion back in the late 90's. I flew from Toronto to London, Ontario 24 times and was rewarded with two business class tickets anywhere Lufthansa, United or Air Canada flew. (I flew my new wife to Singapore and open Jawed back from Australia).
Second, I did the One Million Mile LatinPass promotion and now I have lifetime unlimited access to the armpits of Bogota, Managua and Iquitos!!!!
Third, I picked a cheap $999 Canadian dollar round trip ticket from Toronto to Sydney and got something like 55,000 miles in return because of a double promo and status bonus.
Finally, I picked up a ticket from Europe to Australia on Estonian Air and Qantas for $373 based solely on information from a guy named "Spider" who crawls around these boards. I think I need a good stiff drink to shake me to my senses. What am I going to do in Estonia? I can only come to one conclusion, HAVE A VODKA and chaulk it all up to LIFE IN FLYERTALK. I could probably bring some homemade CORNFLAKE THINGS (AADvantage promotion I also heard on Flyertalk) to Estonia for a possible Estonian Cornflake party!
I'll be in Tallinn June 22,23. Anyone want to get together and laugh at our sick addiction to flyertalk?

That's cool!
Then I will bring my Nutrigrin Bars!
(I dated my ticket Dec since I cannot get through the June Fare, but I will certainly change it to year 2001 since I don't need q-miles this year but next year!

I don't know if I can make it - but enjoy it whole-heartedly, Tallinn is a great city. And remember: Mina ei rgi eesti keelt (I don't speak Estonian) and Terviseks (cheers)...

Davistev,
You really have a way with words! Great stuff! So, you say June 22, 23? I might be there or somewhere not too far at that time. Do you know that at this time of the year Estonia is like Rio during the Carnival? The festival of "White Nights" when sun never sets and people party all day and night. Better book your hotel well in advance and then wait for the PARTY to start.
Mizu: Your Estonian is almost purrrfect!

Mizu: Now it's perfect.
FoxPro: A month long party? Why not? You can count me in. Pity they don't have Fosters or VB there. And why are you going to TLL for the second time? Have you discovered some mileage plan where you can credit your LGW-TLL segment to?

Sound interesting. I once brought a filmmaker from Tallin over to a festival I was organizing in Edmonton back in 1990, just as the country was emerging from the east block. We got him tickets to the Stanley Cup Fina. Estonians are very close to the Finns, and half the Edmonton Oilers in those days was comprised of the best Finland turned out. Needless to say he was in seventh heaven. He also enjoyed his trip to the FUTURE SHOP, where he loaded up on faxes and a few other essentials to connect himself -- and no doubt many friends -- to the outside world. He brought me a couple of bottles of VIRU KANGE, a wicked local vodka. (The Cubans brought primo rum and cigars, the Brazillians lots of coffee beans. One of the benefits of sponsoring poor starving filmmakers to festivals is the little tokens of thanks they bring from home.]
Maybe this is an excuse to pay him a visit. Have they discovered this anomoly yet, or is the fare still available?

www.scandinavian.net is SK homepage. Its correct that you earn 1200 EuroBouns points for a one way coach from TLL-LGW. Has anyone tried to book this ticket through Frankfurt instead? I mean TLL-FRA-SYD This would be a good option for all people in mid Europe who are thinking about doing this.
