Free booze and munchies...who could say no? I had been hoping that you were tracking this thread yesterday. And ptpinit was within easy walking distance.

I think Essxjay was not thinking too clearly after the lowly Clippers beat her beloved Trailblazers. In fact, the lowly Clippers are having a better preseason that the even lowly-er Lakers.

Although, don't forget that the Wizards are now (partly) owned by none other than Michael Jordan. Maybe they will (eventually) be the next "wunderteam"??

Ess,
That wasn't trash talkin'. You have to care about the team(s) in order to do that & I just haven't been as interested in the NBA since MJ hung up his Nike's once & for all.
A very sad day in the Windy City...

Being from Baltimore originally, there is always Wizards talk/hype going on. The Wizards stink!!! And that is not just from a Baltimoron's perspective (read "hate D.C. teams).
Sorry I missed out on the gathering I was in a hurry to get home after talking shop with my new boss. Hope to make it this Friday--where are we meeting again, and when?

I miss Mike, too. But Vince Carter is sure a joy to watch.
Anyway, back to alcohol!
Friday? 7 or 7:30?? (Or you guys can meet earlier and I'll catch up with you ... but it's a late day at the gazette for me).
How about Higgins? They have the best tap selection in town (Guinness is usually on nitro) and, well, I can get there on foot if I'm running late ...

ptpinit, LawLord,
7 p.m. Friday at Higgins is a go. I should be there without much ado. I'll try to be at my usual spot at the south end of the bar ... just ask Mike the bartender and he'll point you in the right direction. See you then.

It was a real pleasure chatting with everyone last night and I am looking forward to doing it again sometime. And Essxjay, when do you want to check out the Delta lounge?
