Pre-dinner at Dgolds
The gathering begins. David is letting me use his computer to begin this thread for the party guests. People should start arriving soon for cocktails, dinner is in 3 hours. I had a wonderful day with Rudi in SFO. (Can there be any other type of day with Rudi?)
More people should be arriving and posting soon. David, Anna and I just finished up the party trays...

The early birds are here already (about 8 of us). Seems to be some Krug flowing. Fantastic view from dgold's Chateau on the Mount. Promised a tour of the roof or something, but informed participants must be sober in order to attempt it. Don't think there will be many visiting the piegons with those kind of conditions.
Those darn cookies! This is PremEx writing.

For lunch today, I met with RichLond and his brother. He committed to coming over for a while before dinner but had to meet his family later on so couldn't come to the restaurant. We chit-chatted about our recent RTW's and found out his brother flies more that we do.
Many thanks for DGolds, ComicWoman and Rudi for setting this up.

I don't post very often, but I do read the boards regularly. I figured since everyone else here is posting then I should too. We have had a marvelous time here. We took a tour of dgolds roof and enjoyed the view. I am looking forward to dinner and meeting everyone else. I am also looking forward to other FlyerTalk gatherings.

Nanook here using dgolds' account.
Let me just say that when degolds said "look for a steep driveway", he wasn't kidding. If you have heart problems, best meet us at the restaurant. Having a wonderful time, wish....

Indurain and Honeybaby checking in! There's so many people here and so much booze that I can't keep track!
"Hi everybody, its hard to keep track of everyone's names," says Honeybaby

I just returned from the SFO dinner at Carta. It was great! Good food, good company!
It was unique to put faces to the names of FT's on the website.I look forward to another such occasion to meet more FT's.
My special thanks to Rudi and Comicwoman for inviting everyone to the gathering and a special thanks to dgolds for opening up his home to all of us for cocktails before dinner.

Oh, I'm so envious. You guys are so close, yet so far away!! Just got off work, and anything short of "Beam me up, Scotty", or a 7 hour hot rod drive won't get me to where the action is.
I'm not that crazy. Have fun!

We just arrived home from our "event" and are thinking about our very early morning plane. See you in the morning. Well I guess that it is actually morning now, but I mean the morning after we sleep, when hopefully, the sun will come up.
Darn it is hard to miss an FT party, no matter how much fun we were having here.

A good time was definitely had, putting more faces with names.
A particular highlight was getting to meet Pudding Guy in person.....and getting to take home some of THE pudding as a souvenir. (Curiously, my pudding cup was missing the label....
)
Also, there was enuf of a ORD contingent there, and we all agreed that it was high time that a major event be planned in the Chicago area. Stay tuned on that...
