Ok Mvic you made some good points.
I"m taking the high road and yes I am rich in friends.
That's what I'll remember. All I wanted was to stop the flaming, that's it.
OK< as DOC says let's let back to travel talk

I would rather be in a middle seat in coach, next to a drooling baby and a non-bathed adult on a 17 hour flight, then to read these negative threads.
Who cares about people who you don't even know?
Why waste your energy?
Go take a walk...it's a beautiful day.

Jon .. I tried email and recently asked Catman to withdraw or edit an absolutely pointed, personal and totally untrue post he made about me. Had he been big enough to do so we would be seeing none of this above.
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum95/HTML/000558.html
He is a big boy. He did not respond to the email or the post, so that was his call. Nor did he take his own oft preffered advice to email ME in the first instance and not post. It just looks to ME like he threatens to "resign" on an almost daily basis to start the Sycophant Symphony all over again. He types it, not me.

Ozstamps,
As you point out, Catman "threatens to "resign" on an almost daily basis".
Yet, you threaten to "Out" the multiple personalities on almost a daily basis.
You cannot have your cake and eat it too. If you are going to constantly demean Catman about not following through on his "Threats", you need to follow through on yours.

I am very reluctant to get involved in these types of things, so please don't take this as badly as it is going to sound...
Isn't it time to move beyond the schoolyard stuff?
So-and-so said this, so I'm going to say that.
From reading the posts, you are still WAY ahead on the insults scoreboard. Is it necessary to keep running up the score?
When people start looking towards eye-for-an-eye, you end up with a whole lot of blind people.

Camera Guy .. I am not sure if it is your math or your reading or your comprehension skills that are lacking, but all are treatable.
"Almost daily basis"? Remind me never to buy radio time off YOU if that is your math assesment.
As to the READING and COMPREHENSION part, please AGAIN go and read this post you are so keenly referring to:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/003353.html
I had a wonderful relaxed evening with Randy Petersen last night. What a lovely guy. Those fake IDs were discussed. As were many things. When I returned home I chose not to post further. OK .... got it? Want a road map?! An Ektachrome print perhaps?
When you go out and set up your own little UBB board you can make all the rules yourself. And invite upon it WHOM you wish. In the meantime, this is the one you are stuck with it seems.
I did not demean Catman. Quite the opposite. I simply asked him very politely to withdraw or amend a particular pointed and nasty post. He did not. It appeared to have been typed when "tired and emotional" judging by the speling and grammar and layout. People often type things and wish they could alter them. The UBB allows such miracles. He is the one who cannot "have his cake and eat it too" IMHO.
To boast to the newbies he is the heart and soul of this board is one thing. Posting what he did is quite another.

Huh,
More of your hypocrisy. Math Skills: "almost a daily basis". These are your words, not mine.
Then you link a thread that contains one of your "Threats" to reveal the offenders of multiple personalities, yet you offer none.
Until earlier this evening, I had not even read that thread. I wisely boycott threads initiated by you.
You have threatened to "out" multiple personalities in more threads than I can remember. Yet, no proof. You have been blowing that horn for a very long time. Now you claim that after dinner with Randy, you are going to leave it alone. Hot Air. Plain Hot Air.
IMHO, you are demeaning Catman in this thread. This is not a singular opinion.
In the post above, I made NO personal attack. Just an observation. You follow it up with a personal attack.
You keep proving my signature line.

Catman, when are you going to contribute substantive information regarding travel instead of this touchy-feely oh-I-need-to-find-my-sun-shiny-happy-place-with-my-'bruddars' if-you-don't-agree-with-me-you-must-not-like-me-and-therefore-I'll-go-and stir-the-pot-with-psychobabble-to-see-how-many-people-really-do-like-me ego-reinforcement nonsense?
Hey, things change. Get on with life. The past may have been sweet... but.. it's... the... PAST. If you need the reassurance of a cybercommunity to help you decide whether or not you ought to continue to participate, then maybe your issues aren't really with its language or its suspected dilution. You get out of it what you put into it, and as I alluded above I don't see a heck of alot of informative material coming from you.
Sleep in the bed that you made for yourself. You don't need me to remind you that you yourself have not always exhibited the high-mindedness that you sanctimoniously proscribe, what with your Catcop antics which others not limited to myself have publicly rejected and now with your mushy psychobabble. And if *you* don't know what *I'm* talking about, well then, that's exactly my case in point.
You may be the nicest guy indeed, but that does not put you beyond reproach for the things you've said (or haven't said, for that matter), and the sentiments engendered therefrom.

"in more threads than I can remember".
It will be the shortest list since ......
Why not go start your own BB? No-one will have any arguments with you that way. The man who owns THIS list has no problems with it.

Ozzie,
You are a hypocrite.
You have threatened to "out" the multiple personalities on MANY threads. If you try to deny this, you prove the first sentence of this post.
You cannot build credibility by posting 30+ times per day. You build it by offering USEFULL tips and suggestions.
You have ruined your credibility with MOST of the members here.
Keep on blowing that HOT Air.
You keep proving this:

Hey everybody:
Thanks for the headache. I guess from now on I'll need to remember to have a couple of asprin before I log on to FT and begin sifting through the hundreds of childlike posts to glean even a tiny bit of information on travel, miles, or frequent flyer programs. Thank you all for making the information exchange on this board difficult. The last sentence is not sarcasm, BTW.
Has it not occurred to anyone that there may be a lot of people out there who have a lot of useful information about travel, miles and FF programs that opt NOT to post it because this place looks like a kindergarten classroom instead of an adult forum????
I am in full agreement with Punki's advice:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum95/HTML/000559.html
My only fear is that Randy's house is running out of rooms.

As you can see I am a relative newcomer, but enjoy the information and advice given in the various forums on the frequent flying community. When I first came across frequent flyer, I read and got to enjoy postings by Rudi, Catman, Austman,Merry, Blonde Bomber etc. Now I do not see many postings by Austman as well as Catman, but this may be life. In my 50+ years I have enjoyed MANY pastimes and sports, but there has always been a time when I recognised that I no longer got the "buzz" from what I was doing. No"Ifs" or "buts", I stopped doing them and found a new exciting area.
To continue doing something when your heart is not in it is a waste of time and effort. To further compound by "threats" of leaving etc is essentially a plea for help, though I do not know what help.
My message to CATMAN is, if you heart is not in F..T then stop posting right away. You will miss it for a while, but if you engage in a new activity you will be refreshed, and if you bring to that what you have brought to these Forums, then you can only help to enrich the lives of this that interface with you.
I hope you will CONTINUE to have your heart here, but I do urge all who read this NOT to do any more postings on this thread. It is starting to become abusive and destructive.
