Hello LarryU!

I'm a new member to the forum, it's great to see alot of fellow FF people!

I work in Parsippany, about 5 minutes from the Embassy. If you wouldn't mind a newbie coming along, I would love to come!

I do have to check with the master (my wife) first, though... heheheh.
You are MORE than welcome to join in! I'll be at the Embassy Suites starting on Friday evening where I'll spend the few days preceding the get-together making sure the bartenders are well-trained.

I would imagine that not much coordination is necessary especially since I am not particularly coordinated

Does anyone envision any difficulty getting to Parsippany under ones own power? Any advice required regarding public transportation options? Any other questions or ideas?

I have not made any reservations yet; I was planning to do that in a couple of days when I show up in the Parsippany, Morris Plains area. I have not yet decided between Sage Brush and Arthurs but there may be a good chance that Arthurs does not accept reservations which may make it a moot point.

Nobody has contacted me regarding travelling difficulties so I assume that everyone can get to the Embassy Suites on their own or already has a ride. Does 8:30 sound reasonable for dinner reservations?

I'll be checking into the Embassy Suites on Friday and will find out who is scheduled to tend bar next Thursday evening. If Grace and Eva, the twin sister bartenders are scheduled to work that night, I am certain that they will take VERY good care of us

Meanwhile, its off to JFK via SFO tomorrow. Given UAL's abysmal performance of late, I have allowed THREE hours to make my connection. May the "Connection Gods" be with me.

"Given UAL's abysmal performance of late, I have allowed THREE hours to make my connection."

Just 3 hrs? Three days may be a safer bet!

Indeed, "May the 'Connection Gods' be with you."

Hope to be meeting you soon!

Just a suggestion that 8:30 might be a bit late to start dinner, especially if drinks begin at 5:30. My suggestion is to move dinner to 7:30 (my preference) or 8. I'll go with whatever the group thinks is best, though.

I think we should try to dinner a little earlier like Vulcan for those of us (like me) who have early work starts (don't worry, I go in at 6 the next morning.)

Just a suggestion.

And Evan (E) has agreed to come to our little do. THis is going to be a good one!

Yeah, I'll be there!!!

I agree with the above that a 7:30-8:00 dinner start would be better, especially for those of us that must travel somewhere else after dinner.

Looking forward to my first "BIG" FlyerTalk gathering.

Let me cast my vote for an earlier dinner also. I, like others, have a very early start to my Friday, and live about 45 minutes south of Parsippany. I realize that everyone has different schedules, and I certainly don't want to rock the boat, but something earlier then 7:30 or 8:00 would be great.
