Who our PETS are 1

PLEASE NO ADULT OR CATTY RESPONSES HERE!

Ok, I thought it would be fun if we could post bios of those special four legged members of our family, our pets.

MANY Flyertalkers have CATS (oh yeah, and dogs too!)

You can write it as a regular bio or in the "pet's voice"

Ok, I'll start.

MEW name is YAZremski Mainecoon Stokolosa Blanchard. I'm a 10 year old (this August) Maine Coon cat who for the past five years have lived with my "daddy" who is known as some name called CATMAN (but he doesn't look like a cat!

I came to live with Catman when my mommie Claire was marrying Richie Joseph who was badly allergic to myself and Cleo (now in Kitty Heaven.)

I like looking at myself in teh mirror, being held and loved and basically being the Lion King of Catman's home.

OK EDDIE! You can stop swipping me with your mangey paws. IT's your turn"

MEW NAME is Sir Edwin Landseer. I was born five years ago, but don't know my family. I was abandoned and for the first year of my life I was abused and treated badly.

North Shore Animal League rescued me from a shelter that was able to put me to sleep. Then this nice looking guy named Mark adopted me. I had a rough time adjusting, I attacked eveyrone but I have calmed down a lot since because of Mark's love and patience with me.

When Mark got me, I had two broken ribs, a tail burned by cigarettes and matted hair. But love does heal and I love my home (and i tolerate this big Maine Coon Yaz, who thinks he's a LION!)

My hobbies: sleeping, eating and giving love nips to everyone.

Ok, who's next?

I have a fish. It does not have four legs. I feed it twice a day and change the water in the tank on a fairly regular basis. Two meals a day... morning and night. I also have a battery powered feeder that rotates once a day and empties the contents of one of up to ten food compartments into the tank. When I go away, I fill the compartments with food and head out the door.

Catman: Thumbs up for giving Eddie a fresh start.

Pets? We don't have any pets.

One of my seven year olds brought home a case of head lice a while back. I think there's still a few straddlers. We haven't given them names though (I'm open to suggestions here), and I don't have any biographical information on them other than the name of the school they came from.

Sorry.

I'm not NEARLY as creative as Catman, but I also have cats. Four of them actually. We have two old tabbies, Muffin and Cupcake, they are 15 yo sisters, we got them at birth from a neighbor. They mostly just sit around the house all day and eat and sleep. My personal cat is Paws ( http://www.markbach.com/images/paws.jpg ). She's a 6 year old Abyssinian who I adopted from the SPCA. Our lastest addition is Ringo, he walked into our house a few months ago with no tags or ID and hasn't left since.

Catman: do you have pictures of Yaz and Eddie online?

We use to have an ant farm but my son Brandon liked to treat the farm like an etchosketch (sp). The ant colony finally got tired of the daily 8.0 earthquakes and died. In the future, ant colonies will learn to retrofit their bridges to withstand these semi-natural disasters.

I am sure that it had nothing to do with me sitting the farm in the window sill to bask in the hot sun.

I do not have any cats. Unfortunately, I developed an allergy to them about 10 years ago. I do have a small dog that I inherited from my daughter when she went away to school. The dog's name is Sammy. She is a happy dog, very smart and likes to try to manipulate me. She is older - about 9 years or so - so she gets her way much of the time. She does quite a few tricks still and will be your best friend if you have a few dog treats.

We own four cats, or more precisely they own us. Kasey is the eldest at 17, is a sleek black shorthair, and our most expensive (at $10 from a local pet shop). She knows she is beautiful and has a certain "Garbo" quality about her. Her favorite food is fresh lobster, crab & shrimp. She pals around with Bandit, also 17 whom got free from a New Brunswick pet store. She is extremely SHY, favorite food is raw chopped sirloin and 'people' tuna and she is constantly under attack from....SAM who is about 5, and an enormous white cat who just showed up at our door one day about 4 1/2 yrs ago, hungry, skinny, tons of ear mites and at that time super friendly. He will eat anything thats not 'nailed down' His favorite pasttime (other than terroizing Bandit) is to sit in the front window and act as the unofficial "Mayor" of our street--nothing gets by him. The last is my personal favorite, Panne, or more likely called "the grey", "sweetie", "miss beauty". She is 16 and was obtained at a pound in Elizabeth. She is sleek, grey and quite tall. She thinks she is me, and will mimic my habits (eating with her paw as a hand, sleeping curled up under blankets (even in the hottest weather, watching all my tv shows with avid interest etc.) eating any human food. Despite the ages of the 3 oldest, none of them seem as if father time is 'knocking' on the door--so I think we'll be blessed with them for a few more years to come.
PS--We did lose 2 others last year, Bomba & Beezer.

Hi, I'm Prancer the oldest min-pin (just turned 9) at onefreeman & raeban's home. I rule...the other 3 follow, I AM the queen!
This is Bailey, I'm also a min-pin, 4 years old...but a stud! I have sired a total of 12 little ones, although I've been called "scaredy dog" and other names I can't mention, I am the most loveable.
And now Nikki, I'm almost 3 and the most annoying of the group (also a min-pin) I bark if the wind blows, or a doorbell rings on t.v.
I'm Sam...the oddball...I was lucky enough to be adopted when raeban's first husband passed away. I say I'm the oddball because I'm part terrier and the rest who knows...but I am the smartest and most friendly. We all love when company comes over, just ask auh20, annas, catman or premex!!!

Hi, I'm Cinnamon, a 5 year old Maine Coon.

I live in a big house with a family that I adopted. I even let them take my last name. As long as they continue to feed me, pamper me and cater to my every whim I'll allow them to stay. Otherwise, they're outta here in a New Jersey minute.

Every once in a while I hear one of the adoptees, this old guy who's pretty gray (well, at least the little bit of hair that's left) say things like "if there's reincarnation I want to come back as one of my wife's cats". Obviously he's unfamiliar with the concept.... I'm not her cat, she's my human. She may own HIM, but she definitely doesn't own me

Every once in a while these fools think they're going to take me for a car ride. Get a life...... that happened to me once.... ended up on a cold metal table looking at a funny looking guy in a white coat.....never again.

Funniest thing is when they sit there and call me.... do they REALLY think I'm going to get down from the window sill and walk over to them? Get a life man, get a life. By now you'd think they'd know better... but noooooo, day after day they keep on trying. Guess I'll have to train them better.

Well, stretttcccccchhhhhh gotta go. Time to get up from the window sill and wander over to the food dish.

Cinnamon Johnson
