Steak in Miami anyone?

Prior to me leaving for the Flyertalk Cancun Party... I'm overnighting in Miami.

DATE: JUNE 23RD. EVENING. SOMETIME AFTER 8:30 PM! OK MR NUTZ, THANKS FOR THE CORRECTION!

So I'm up for trying one of their steak places.

Either the Forge or the Roadhouse that's five minutes from MIA airport-- thanks for the suggestion JIM B!

The party will start around 8:30p. I get in around 8:20pm and will head from the airport.

If interested, post here and e-mail. I'd like to make reservations about 2 weeks before.

So come on down to Miami for some steak and fun (and a fond sendoff to me as I venture into the unfamiliar world of Cancun!)

What about Don Shula's steakhouse? You could even stay at his hotel too ... of course you won't earn any points there ...

Thanks for the suggestions Beckles (hey, maybe you and Nancy could get a nice e-fare because you are both more than welcome to join us.)

The steak place (or other restaurant) I'm looking for has to be as close to the airport because one of the possible guests needs to catch a late flight (around 11:30pm departure)

Any suggestions?

Maybe ... but seeing I'm in Barcelona June 3 -17, Sarasota June 30-July 2 and Orlando July 2-July 4, I was thinking I might rest a little that weekend and not travel ...

Me & Mrs 'toad will be there (wherever 'there' is).

How far from the Forge to the Hyatt? How 'bout Shulas?

Cheers,

'toad

Looks like I'm the one making things difficult, as I have a flight departing that night at 11:30, hence I need to stay fairly close to the airport. I will do some timing next week, and then hopefully we can agree on some nice and close place.

Jim B you are NOT making things difficult.

Let's do this...

*You can PICK the place that works closest to your flight time and MIA Int'l
*I will make the reservations and keep everyone updated (and carry everyone out after they stuff themselves with steak and alcohol!)
*Geo1004 (if he comes) can do the wine selection!
*Toad will be the security officer!
*Everyone has a great time as with all CAT dos

Let's make it a team effort.

Once JimB makes his choice, we'll get to work!

There's a nice restaurant that does great steaks about 5 minutes from the Airport.

It's the Hereford Grill on Lejeune Road.
I was chatting to Catman and he said to post it here.

I've been there a few times (not in a few years though) and it was really nice and the steak was excellent. it's very easy to find as well. straight off the airport loop on lesjeune road south and it'll be about 1-2 miles down on the right.

just a thought if people are tight for time.

I won't be able to make it. I have a family get together the next day and the (non-Saturday night stay) fare would put a real hurtin' on my wallet.
