Well, here we are stuck at SFO (Live From SFO) but it's ok, this way, we don't have to wait until we get all the way back to Seattle/Austin to get the latest scoop. We (Joe, Getonboard, FirstClass, Dominic, AusTXHiker and I) are all insanely jealous of those of you still hanging out in Paradise, but we all agree that something is better than nothing so we are grateful for what we got. Actually Karen2 and Einar were on our plane but we lost them before we realized we were going to spend an evening in the Club.
Actually, if I had kept laughing that hard any longer, my face would have cracked (despite a fortune in potions and unguents).
Mweiss, Mauld, Comicwoman, TravelWeary, Dgolds, JohnA, Uncle1K, Shutzee. baobab, Burkey, RichG, Geo1004, Scott, and all you other guys who weren't there, were remembered and toasted joyfully, briefly, like in the beginning. Then we started having way too much fun to think about anything at all.
Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful. The committee should be elevated to royalty or demi-gods or something. What a blast!!

P.S. It is colder in SFO than in HNL.

Ahhh, finally a chance to post. Tonight, we just had our official PIP closing ceremonial dinner for the planning committee courtesy of Rudi.
Everyone who attended the PIP made it truly a once in a lifetime experience. I must say that the amount of alcohol intake this group can achieve is amazing. I kept thinking that we needed to change the emergency contact phone number to 911!
For those who did not attend the PIP, I want you to know that after the heavenly chocolate tasting, everyone was given ziploc bags to take home the extras and there were plenty of extras. See what you missed?

Wow!!!
Great stuff, guys! I just got through browsing the "official" PIP webpage including storeis and photos and I must say that it looked like a fantastic time was had by all.
Hope there are other such events, and I hope that as MY travels increase this next year that I too have the opportunity to meet up with fellow FT'rs around the country, whether it be in airport lounges, restaurants, hotels, on the golf courses, wherever.
Glad it was such a fun time.

Words and pictures can't describe it -- you had to be there (although it seems surreal now--it seemed too good to be real).
PiPsters Rock!
Thanks Premex, Tropical Flyer, Rudi, Catman for organizing such a great event. Thanks too to Randy and the Inside Flyer crew for their wonderful contributions. Hope you all get some time to have a rest now before you fly home!

Has auh20 surfaced yet? He emtpied the plane of booze, his hotel minibar of booze, the poolside lounge, etc! For those of you who went home early (SFO/Seattle), it rained on us most of Sunday in HNL and it was raining in SoCal when I got home at 2:15am. What a wonderful group of crazzies! My trip was very tough, I had to share a room with 2 beautiful women! They were very nice to me and even let me have my 2 minutes of bathroom privileges each day! Can't wait till the next PIP or any other get-to-gether that might surface!

The Martel vs. Wald Tennis Challange report and photos are now on the Party In Paradise Web Site! Enjoy!
That's it for me! The Tennis event was the last official PIP event so I now hang up my Communications Director's hat for good and head for the beach! Yahooo! Later dudes (and dudettes)!

For those of you who missed it (dgolds - so what if you hate Waikiki - we had only 45 min of beach time anyway cause we were BUSY!!), there will never be another PIP! This was the PIP of all time forevermore.
Many kudos to the creative Committee and to Randy Petersen and his incredible staff (not to mention his generosity). Thanks to all of you for making this the most memorable boondoggle I have ever attended!
With the help of AuH20, we left Hawaii utterly a dry state. Anyone coming late must bring his own booze...
AND the chocolates - oh my...well, by the time I won a door prize, I came back with as much as I brought! It was amazing the variety from all over the world - lovely local specialities. Now, mind you, some of us found it hard to enjoy the buffet's chocolate desserts after an afternoon of chocolate but - so what!!
The PIP was inspired and I could not be happier that we decided to go. Just tough coming home...too bad we lost Punki et al in SFO. Had no idea that the party had shifted to SF Red Carpet. Got home to a COLD house, made fresh asparagus soup to warm up. Had those "Hawaiian Classic" crackers called Lavosh (had to fly UAL to understand).

Hi to all from back in NJ.
A party like that will not be seen again soon (at least until they re-stock all of the bars on the island).
Many of my friends and associates thought Helen and I were nuts to fly 11 hours to Hawaii for an extended weekend. After having attended the events, met my fellow flyertalkers, and talked the nights away, I can say with some assuredness that I would have been crazy not to go.
Much thanks to the Committee, Randy et al, and my fellow flyertalkers. I hope we have many more chances to meet in the future.

Beautiful morning here in Waikiki! Not a cloud in the sky and bars are fully replenished. In a few hours Catman, Wingless and I head to Maui to join Onefreeman, Reaban, RewardPlanner and Snogal for some R&R.
Yesterday Catman, Wingless, AuH2o and I spent time at the pool followed by lunch at Duke's at the Outrigger Waikiki. We then hopped a catamaran for a trip out and back...fabulous!
On return we met up with Counsellor, MrLimo, and Beckles at Tropics Bar at the Hilton. That evening we went to Sam Choys with Beckles, Pixie, MrLimo, AuH2o and Wingless. What a great meal. Later on the Cat, Beckles, and I enjoyed cigars and libations into the night until the staff kicked us out. Now off to Maui! Aloha!
