New reports and photos at the Party In Paradise Web Site! Including scenes from the Big Aloha!

Gotta run to the chocolate tasting event. Later.

ALOHA from the LAX RCC. Well, the prePIP express II party today is a little more subdued than what old gold described taking place here on thursday. Just me and my laptop, humming the theme to Hawaii-5-0...but what the heck, its a party nonetheless

Punki:

You didn't think posting it once would make we poor souls who couldn't attend feel badly enough? You had to toss it at us three times no less???

Glad you guys are having fun. Hope the local beer, wine & liquor distibutor doesn't have to airfreight in replenishment supplies as you guy slowly drink the islands dry

Have a great time.

Jealously yours .......

PIP chocolate tasting report. In honor of Franz and Rudi who, among the constellation of heavenly confections, brought the showstoppers. "Unglaublich!". Unbelievable! From Franz, "Hochdorferli chocolate truffle sandwiches". From Rudi, "Teuscher champagne truffles". I didn't know chocolates like this existed.

As Rudi advised, the proper technique is not to bite ... just let it melt. (just when I thought the Neuhaus Belgian chocolates in DL BizElite were good ...)

OK guys, you're making me nervous ... my husband and I are checking in at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Tuesday ... will there be any booze left on the island for us? I'm getting the idea we might be need to bring our own provisions.

Have a great time. But pleeze ... I like rum drinks ... just save a little rum for me.

We must heartily agree with everything Eidetic said above...those Swiss & their chocolates are incredible. The dark Teuscher is the very best I've ever tasted.

Suffice it to say that what you're reading is just a small part of the overall fun we're having.

OK, I have now read the reports of days 1 and 2 at the PIP. Let me admit that, despite our upcoming trip to GCM, I am incredibly green with envy. Tropical paradise AND the chance to talk miles and points with everyone. What a good combination. Have a great time everyone.

Dinner was fabulous! There are no words. Awards and gifts, door prizes, presentations, suprises, great food and terriffic company.

Lots of pictures and reports to follow, but some sleep for now.

Oh, Lordy, Lordy, Lordy! I have to be careful that the tears falling from my eyes don't short out my keyboard. We were sad already to be missing the PIP, but to hear that we missed the chocolate tasting...it's almost too much to bear, you know?

P.S. Keep the reports coming though.

Sitting here in rainy Seattle preparing for my most important meeting of this calendar makes me sooo sad thinking about they fun you guys are having in Hawaii. I wish that on my flight this afternoon to LAX, I could hope on the DL flight over there to see you guys off. Oh well. Maybe next year.

Well, its over. The rightous vanquished evil and the world was saved when Matt Wald defeated Rudi Martel in the first ever PiP tennis extravoganza!

Now you may hear folks saying things like: "But matt got to use the alleys, was spotted at least 3 points per game, was given two fault serves and rudi was taking it REALLY easy on him anyway!!!"

There is a word for these type of people: LIARS. Except it is all true.

BUT I still won...thank you, rudi
