Qantas have 30% off award flights economy only, and the other deal with American Express and Hilton; $80 off when you spend over $400.00
Booked myself a flexible 2 night rate at the Hilton, and a 1 night flexible booking at the holiday Inn, taking a few different bets.

Was thinking of a family weekend in Sydney but the previous attempt around Australia Day was stressful so pulled the plug on this weekend.

Hilton have a great flash sale on for the next few days if anybody still needs to book accommodation. Combined with the Amex deal above it gets even better.

50 days to Oz Fest 16 ^
If you have not done so already, time to start booking flights & accommodation.
We still need a CEO to organise day activities. Storyteller is organising 2 evening meals.
40 have signed up as Platinum Definite
12 have signed up as Gold Maybe - possible
4 have signed up as Silver Interested
11 have indicated Bronze they cannot make it
Of the 40 who are Platinum 15 are from Australia, 16 from USA, 1 from UAE,1 from Canada, 6 from NZ & 1 from UK
28 of the 40 are repeat attendees .
12 newbie's at this time. (more than usual)
Expect another 1 or 2 to sign up (after cancellations). Some Platinum's will cancel (as always).

Friday and Saturday night dinners with easy access in CBD sorted, and will upload EventBrite for payment in the next few days. Work finished this week, heading to the Bahamas, then more work... Poor me 
. You're on your own for Sunday night, unless I find something, probably on your own... those still around, I think the harbour trip with meal, way up thread sounds just great for Sunday!!

I finally got around to booking my accommodation last week. I'm staying at the Curio on the Friday night and Hilton on the Saturday.
I've never stayed at the Curio before so thought I'd try it as it was a lot cheaper than the Hilton during the APAC sale, and fitted better with a few other Hilton stays to hit multiple $400 Amex targets to get $80 back without actually overspending to hit the target!

You have record (the only person) for the longest continuous attendance at Oz Fest. From Oz Fest 2 (SYD 2002) to Oz Fest 16 (SYD 2019). Some others from Oz Fest 1 or/and Oz Fest 2 have missed a year. 2 others have continuous attendance from Oz Fest 3.

I have just stumbled onto this thread. Platinum please. Alas going away for a few weeks and have some deadlines when I get back, otherwise I would have put my hand up to help with organising. Anyone interested in a harbour cruise during Vivid? Also Amex has a Vivid lounge the last few years but it can get quite crowded unless you are Centurion and you will be ushered to a private area. They provide complimentary canapes.
