Or lounges, rather. The F section in the satellite offers a restaurant section, where they may have some bubbles available for breakfast (I can't remember which one now). After that, head back to the regional side, it's a J lounge, but it has the best ambiance out of all international lounges. It's most likely that the PNH flight will depart from the main (regional) side of the terminal.

Me too. I just booked it with Avios. I won't have access to the MH lounge, unless someone with access lets me be their guest. There is a priority pass lounge I can use though.

I booked the Mary Beach Hotel and Resort in Sihanoukville. It is right next to the Tamu hotel, but quite a bit cheaper. I may change this depending on what others are doing.

I'm probably going to spend a couple of days in Phnom Penh after the Post DO. Siem Reap will be fun for those going there, but I've been there recently and don't want to go back so soon.

Ooh, how much Avios was it? In Y and in J? I booked mine using Chase points but I have Amex points I haven't figured out how to use, so if Avios has a good deal maybe I should change it to an Avios booking.

I'm a *A flyer normally so the EQM from MH won't do anything for me even on a paid ticket.

I can't get into the F lounge unless someone sponsors me in. I am only a Sapphire with OneWorld (airberlin).. so I can only get in the J lounge

It was 4500 Avios plus about $20 in taxes/fees for economy. J would be 9000 avios I assume. I think it said there were two seats available in economy when I booked it yesterday (and I took one of them).

Is anyone else on this flight also staying at the Ren in sihanoukville?
I'm meeting 2 of my FT friends at the airport in PNH landing and the Ren is sending a car to take us to the resort (cost is about $20 per person). If someone else wants to join, we can take you too, but we need to know in advance because it requires getting a larger car if we have 4 or more people + bags.

The Ren resort is sold out, but the resort I booked is a five minute walk from Ren. So I'd like to join the car trip if possible.

Edit: The Ren resort wasn't sold out. I was mistaken. I will be staying at the Ren.

OK, I'll ask.

Attending the DO, but not the post-DO. Arrive from BKK on Friday (15th) afternoon (on MH) and staying in KUL till the 21st.

Any updates on the details of the KUL DO? Trying to plan my trip give we are ~40 days out and don't want to miss anything.

Cheers.

I expect that this one probably won't be as formally planned out as the other plans and might be more play it by ear with just a few major events scheduled. But as long as you're flexible (and don't mind the adventure of last-minute planning) I don't think you'll need to worry about missing anything. I would really recommend staying at one of the hotels where one of the DO organizers is staying, for convenience. So either Grand Hyatt or Shangri-La.

OK. You're in, and with that, my group's car is full.

But if there are more people, I'm sure the Ren or Tamu could send another car (at your request) or people can carpool in a taxi as well.

You'll find the GH to be more popular among us, and it's just a slightly little bit closer to town. There are also a few hotels within a few minutes walk from the GH as well which may be more suitable depending on tastes and budgets.

I'm staying at DT KL. Google Map says it's 25min walk to GH with no public transit option.

I think several of us will be at the DT. I think an UBER from DT to KH would cost less than 2 USD if we want to meet up with people there.
