Yeah, it looks like you'd have to do two tickets. Both tickets would be inexpensive, but I'd be a little nervous about the possibility of a missed connection, since there are only three flights per week from REP-KOS.
PNH to Sihanoukville is about 200KM, or about 3 hours drive distance. If we can share cabs the cost might be reasonable. Cambodia Angkor Air will also be flying the PNH-KOS route shortly, however I suspect a taxi will be the best option since any time saved on a plane will be spent transferring flights in PNH. |

How would you go about booking KUL-REP-KOS? Separate tickets?
Air Asia seems to charge $42 for KUL-PNH including carry-on and 1 checked bag. MYR. Malaysia Airlines is $20 more - also available with Avios. |

Correct, you'd have to do two separate tickets, but it is certainly an option. That said, as Kuldo_2016 noted, the preferred way to do this will be to fly KUL-PNH and taxi to Sihanoukville. With 2-4 folks sharing each taxi, the cost will be reasonable, and by most accounts, it's a fun and interesting drive.
Regarding Sihanoukville hotels, please hold off on booking anything so we can figure out a good one for the group. If you have suggestions for them though, please PM me. It will be strange to have a post DO in a city without a major hotel chain this time. For other details, I'm going to put up a preliminary attendee list this weekend. The organizers will also be working on a dining and event schedule outline in the next few weeks. |

The cab option from PNH airport will be best. It's about a 2.5 hour drive and the prices I was seeing were closer to $65. I'll be heading to Sihanoukville in about a month and will nail down that plan.

Another vote here for a minibus. First choice would be Giant Ibis. Depending on the number of people going, for a few extra dollars per head we may even be able to charter a minibus.
|
Put me down for the Mini bus also, save me a seat. Just let me know what flights to book.
|
Booked for the DO and post-DO, which is to say I have flights. Don't know if I'll be able to use them, but they exist. I hope to make it.
|
I am in for the Do, the post-Do and the mini-bus, or whatever
mode of transportation works best. |
