The sentiment is appreciated, though some of us celebrated Thanksgiving six weeks ago.

Happy Turkey Day to those celebrating it.

This thread is making me reflect on the four particular dinners on Thanksgiving evening that I remember the most clearly: two were overseas with big groups of expats from all over, of which one was just a turkeyless restaurant meal and the other was the big traditional meal with the bird, but hosted by Aussies.

So eat well whatever and wherever you will be on Thursday.

Reminds me of staying at a B&B in rural New Zealand. Proprietor knew we were American and knew of Thanksgiving. He arranged for the nearby inn to cook a traditional dinner for us (well, there were some adaptations), and when we showed up, the American flag was flying on the pole. Seems like this inn had a collection of flags that they use for various occasions. Very touching.
