FlyerTalk lapel pin
It occurred to me that FlyerTalk should make a bundle of lapel pins and offer them to FT members. Anyone who wanted to advertise their involvement in the community would be more easily found when travelling through an airport. It might be an easy conversation starter and help people get connected with other travel enthusiasts.
Lapel pins could be sold or given to members after a certain number of comments have been posted. There could even be variations of the pin based on a person's status as a moderator, evangelist, posting legend, etc.
Anyone interested in having one?

I think the FT luggage tags that you can obtain by sending a PM to SanDiego1K serve a similar purpose, and are probably more easily identifiable than a lapel pin.

Although, now that I'm thinking of it, FlyerTalk could issue a whole line of merchandise: mugs, t-shirts, iPad cases. Someone in marketing/branding should make a push for awareness.
Who will be the first to get a FlyerTalk tattoo?

I think lapel pins are a great idea. BTW, it does not make sense to me that you can buy 100 different FT items, but no luggage tags. Of all the things that would be useful to members this seems to be the most obvious and it is a fantastic way to identify other members and advertise the service.
send a PM to SanDiego1k and kindly request a couple.

Mr. Kipper's backpack is adorned with one that I received from this year's Secret Santa Extravaganza.
So, should anyone bump into someone with one on a backpack, don't be surprised to hear, "I"m not a member, but my wife is."
