I could, but not too sure why I want to arrange a meet when I wont be able to make it. My resources could be used in other area's right now.

Where is Sweet Willie when we need him!
I will bite, and risk being banned from FT by the angry mobs. Let me look at my calendar and pick some sample dates, then run those by y'all. I will also throw out some restaurant ideas. I can make a dinner reservation without causing too much calamity. I have no clue about all the other cool things done at Do's.
(will also work on enticing the Willie Man out of the windy city for the get together)

I'm only in PHX about 4 months a year, of late. All of March, and the first few days of April is good for me. After that, most of July, and October.
I would always pick some hole in the wall Mexican restaurant, so I don't think anyone would let me pick the place to eat.
Too bad FlightNurse won't be able to come, it seems.

I'd let you pick^ I dine at least twice per week at local tacquerias/Mexican joints here in Chicago, just yesterday for lunch was at a hole that served delicious cabeza & al pastor, I got two tacos of each and washed it down with agua de meln.

I'd probably do an original Carolina's (12st and Mohave), as a twofer.
Perhaps call it, "Two Hole in the Walls for one".

no doubt
not to get too far off topic, next time you are in LA on Sat or Sun, try this: http://www.streetgourmetla.com/2012/...reet-food.html A few weeks ago myself & two other FTers ate/drank our way down the street based upon the bloggers suggestions. DELCICIOUS!

I love Carolina's however the orginal is not wise to go after dark. Now if you want a place that is very good and priced wells, Poncho's http://www.ponchosaz.com/ has to be one of the best (nex to Caroliona's) in PHX.. Plus it can hold more people then Carolina's.
Sure, I'm certain that we'd get along fine. Most FT'ers wouldn't find eating at a picnic table in the residential neighborhood at 14th St and Roosevelt as much fun. Heck, I've been eating here for 25 years, but some people might take convincing.

I recently found out that a short movie which I produced will be in this year's Phoenix Film Festival. Given that I'll be up in Phoenix/Scottsdale for the festival's opening weekend, I'd be willing to try to plan a lunch and/or dinner.
I'm thinking of something along the lines of:
* a dinner on Friday, March 30
* a lunch on Saturday, March 31
* a dinner on Saturday, March 31
Would anyone be interested in any of those options?
I have a red-eye out on Saturday night, but if someone wanted to add a Sunday event, that'd be cool.
Regarding the film festival, if anyone wants to check it out, I'm able to get a discount on tickets/passes for friends and family. (Essentially 50% off.) Just let me know and I'd be happy to share the savings.

Sounds interesting. My daughter is a film student and worked the film festival last year. Lunch or dinner would be fine on Saturday.

You put together a great AZ weekend last year. Wish you could make it this time around. You will be missed.Great! I am still trying to iron out my evening plans, so for now I've gone ahead and created a new thread that suggests a lunchtime get together (with or without movies).

I'm in DC that weekend. So if you do pull off a get together, I will whine until we do it again.
I love hole in the wall food, but ya, some places I won't go after dark.
Willie, you are going to let us know whenever you are in town, right! We can pull something off.
