yep, Nick you don't even need to be around, just leave your house open for us

Almost every single person in the restaurant was Asian, the food was VERY VERY underspiced. I think they took a look at our group and made a "they need it mild" decision.

A very enjoyable evening - thanks to all! Good company, good conversation and good food (even if lacking on the spices as mentioned by Sweet Willie).

Looking forward to burgers at Nick's. Now...which one of the two of you at the end of the table suggested it? Methinks you volunteered yourself to organize...

watching the ball go bouncing by...

Agreed -- a very nice evening. I enjoyed the excellent company and many interesting conversations. My scallops and beef dish was quite tasty.

I don't have the website for Elmhurst Nick's burgers , but the website for Nick's Tavern in Lemont (home of the giant Nickburger), which was also mentioned last night, is here:

Can't really vouch for the burgers at Elmhurst Nick's but can definitely vouch for those at Nick's Tavern - excellent! We should plan that for a Friday night as the beer is also excellent!

I'm surprised nobody has commented yet on the looks Sweet Willie was getting from others because he was carrying around that statue/trophy/whatever-it's-been-named.

It would be an understatement if one were to say that trying to schedule something (more than a week in advance) on my calendar at this time is "complex."

looking over my shoulder at the ball that bounced by...

** Note to self, bring the small bottle of red chili flakes or cayanne pepper for Willie at next DO.

Zero. Although Sweet Willie did try to ingratiate himself with the waitress by referring to us as "roundeyes".
