Given the numbers of confirmed participants, it seems like this year we will have enough critical mass to offer an optional 2nd wine tasting charity event. Its about that time of the year when all those confirmed should begin signing up for the group events..... I will post this again at the bottom of this thread to remind all those coming.

Thanks!!

Allow me to be the first to declare an interest in attending next year's event on two conditions i.e. that it involves
1) another wine tasting at Terroir and
2) a chance to enjoy the Menú Degustación once more at Pura Tierra.

Stringent conditions I know. ;)

Sadly I can confirm already I am out for 2011. If this changes, I'll of course let you know.

Would be nice to make it down again though.

Congrats on a great Do this past weekend.

Chris.... sorry to hear this, but I will keep my fingers crossed that things change during the next couple of months and you can still somehow join us.... ^

Alex,

SWFA and I will try to join in COW Do VII....Unfortunately, work and a last minute biz trip to SYD, through a wrench into last years plan.

Hello, Folks. I am the meeting planner for this DO and I am happy to work with Gaucho100K to pull off the best Cow DO ever. I have started looking at discounted airfare / hotel and additional tours for us. UpgardeMe2 and myself will be down at 2011 DO for sure. If anyone has any suggest about hotel, air discount or any other group activities, please feel free to contact me. :) I am very excited to see all of you in September 2011. Mark your calendar, I promise this is a DO you do not want to miss.

I would suggest the usual. Day trip to Colonia. Etc.

This Do to me is about the food and the wine much more than the destination, but I know several previous attendees did a great job with creating tours and such.

As cheap as taxis are in town, I highly recommend using the Subte instead to get around.

Hotel wise, the Sheraton and the Marriott often have a good group staying in them as does the Hilton. I know these are big name places, but if you had enough people, try getting a group booking.

There are also smaller hotels around town or anyone staying at least 3-4 nights I would recommend renting an apartment. The rates will be what a hotel will charge you for 1-2 nights for a full week.

Try getting a group to go to the falls. A can't miss if you've never been. Or maybe a pre/post do trip to Mendoza or somewhere for more wine.

Good luck with your planning. It can be quite the exhaustive task.
