There will be two of us arriving at 8:50pm Friday 15th (UA631) (DCPatti #38, DCAlex #39)
I believe we are booked into the Overflow hotel (Springhill Suites)
We will be departing on UA626 at 7pm on Sunday 17th; had been planning to check out of Springhill in the morning, stow bags at HI and head to the airport from there.

:-::-::-:Everyone involved in making this happen gets huge thanks and kudos from me. This event is going to be great and I'm so glad that so many were willing to put in so much effort and time. Much appreciated!!:-::-::-:

Almost missed this thread since I don't frequent the CommunityBuzz board often.

My flight details:

Arrive ORD Friday 15 Oct 11:29 PM (outside shuttle hours - seeking cab partners if anyone else is arriving late)
Depart ORD Sunday 17 Oct 7:35 PM

I did email Randy re: luggage tags but didn't get a reply or anything in the mail (yet?). Will keep watching.

Tall Ship Discount the Day before Do

Today's (July 12) Groupon.com/chicago deal is a $12/$18 ticket to ride the tall ship "Windy." Its last cruise of the season is Oct. 15, which is the day before the Do.

That's about a 50% discount.

Caution: It looks as if you have to physically present yourself at Navy Pier to either make an advance reservation, or to get a ticket for the next cruise, so you might have the Groupon coupon but not be able to sail if the ship is full. It's possible that a Chicago resident could take everyone's Groupon coupons down at one time to make reservations, I don't know.

WATCHFUL - registration # 61

Arrival on DL 5732 at ORD - October 15 at 4:53 p.m.

But this is Delta, so the times are subject to change.

(NOTE: I am staying one additional night, and flying home on the 18th, so do not have a flight to catch on Sunday evening.)

AFAIK, the entire hotel has been booked by FTers & we're into an overflow hotel, so presumably if someone is interested in the above they're looking at using it for different nights than the ORD Seminar Do.

Also, people would need to take into consideration the additional fee for lunch per person for the ORD Do since breaks & meals (other than dinner) are included in the room rate of $99 we're getting, which starts to negate the savings of using the above.

Given we've been asked to book through the official ORD Do link for hotels, the deal above might be a better fit for the Hotel Deals sub-forum in Mileage Run.

Cheers.

I already PM'd someone a while ago volunteering which I have no problem helping and should be able to bring enough ext cords too. Not sure exactly but I might be flying in on a return flight or I would be arriving round 3pm depending on 90s traffic from WI. If I do fly in ill be parked in the ELot so no shuttle needed!
