Tommy777,

Thanks for the update. Did reserve my room. What about Westin in Seattle, will we have to book it also independently?

I'm guessing the guys will let us know when FRA and SEA hotels are ready to be booked & how, and that the reason for IAH booking now is because of the dual-nature of that portion of the trip - ie, SMD2 & FT Awards filling up the property. Just a guess though.

I'm glad the IAH property switched to non-prepaid, as the dual TATL+Charter is pricey and it's nice to push out a bit some of the expenses.

Cheers.

Am looking forward to seeing everyone, but given there are 200 folk on the flight might I gently suggest that we all just book the hotel(s) & not post that we've booked the hotels, or this thread is going to get really long-g-g.

And given that a number of us are subscribed to the thread & FT had a mini-melt down yest delivering a gazillion thread updates & PMs from a few months ago, would suck to go through that again.

Cheers.

I did wonder about that, since I got OVER 130 e-mails from FlyerTalk with a thirty minute period. My Blackberry was doing an immitation of a battery powered vibrator!

Please reserve your room if you plan to stay there.

The rate is 99USD a night and it's not prepaid.

In order to get the 1000 Starpoints pr. night, you have to use this link:
Got the email and have booked the two nights at IAH. Will this trigger our SPG status upgrade or will that be part of the Charter Payment process? I have a couple of SPG stays following immediately after the SMD2 and it would be nice to have Platinum status and benefits again.

Do we need a password to book the room? I can only find rooms for USD198, and when I try to use the planner log in, I don't have the password for the event. So what am I doing wrong?

And yes, I am using the link in the email

Searching for roomie in the US part :-)

Hi,

I am searching for a roomie that want to share the rooms during the SMD2. I have already booked a room with 2 beds in IAH and will book when the SEA is coming up.

Please PM me if you want to share a room on this tour with a Danish guy :-)

Funny - my room came to $119 per night + taxes. The reservation does note it's a Club Room so I guess that's why it's a bit more.

Yes, that is true. I booked the same.
This would mean, that the normal rooms are all sold out?

Be aware, that you would normally only require a room Nov. 3rd until 5th.
