I'm sure this will sell out - but hopefully not before we've gotten tickets

Does an LH 747 have more than 25 rows not including the upper deck? Confused

More recently and often than you'd think - or I'd like to remember.

So which *A carrier has 747 in active service?
UA, CA, NZ, NH, OZ, TG, SA, SG...
Let the speculation begin!

We can't charter a LH747 and leave it in the Arizona desert then?

If it was an LH 747, the DO would have to have a height, or maximum leg length, restriction for attendees wanting to fly Y!

Now that would be a worthy FT goal - take the last flight ever on a 747. What a way to give a grand old lady a grand old send off!

They will be turned into cargo planes and unlikely just parked in the desert. SQ and LH are usually smart, we have to bet on UA or somebody to retire their airfleet with us!

Also, LH (which we told it is not) would probably take the seats out and reuse them, so no seats left on the way to desert (if they have to send them to desert and don't find a buyer at all but even the A300s are going to Pakistan & alike)

No seats = more space for beverages.

It's not just a worthy goal, it would be a public service. LH Y is terrible on the 747, and it would mean one aircraft less that unsuspecting passengers could have to suffer on.

My guess is it would likely be United - they seem to have more 747s than they know what to do with, given all the military charters they run and the fact that they still had to park some birds in the desert anyway.

LH has 30 of the birds at the last count. We'll need 29 more Mega Dos to park them all in the desert.

UA 747 and UA cabin crew? Can we please have our Mods in lederhosen and aloha shirt back!

The Boneyard (AMARG) would be interesting, but there is already a public tour. I'd prefer something like Pinal Airpark that is not normally accessible to oursiders.
