Great new FT-oriented video

Just came across this video, and wanted to offer kudos to Gabriel Leigh and to those FTers appearing on it, especially Randy.

Highly recommended - http://www.vimeo.com/7167640

Professionally done... IMO it really captures this strange and wonderful obsession.

I noted that Mr. Leigh posted a couple of times last year asking for volunteers in the Bay Area to be interviewed - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/commu...ml#post9321791 - but didn't see any responses.

Thanks Gardyloo for posting the link to my movie, and I'm really glad people are enjoying it.

A big thanks to all FTers out there--this site played a big part in this movie getting made, beginning when I first discovered it back in 2001.

i loved the mileage run between CNX and CEI via BKK. and LMAO

Ahh, what a brilliant video!

I only got into FT and mile-collecting seriously about a year or so ago, and it has been fantastic already.

I have already emailed the video to my friends who made fun of me earlier in the year when i did BOS-LAX/SFO runs while studying for a major exam. They were the most productive hours, studying-wise, and mile-collecting wise.

Keep up the good work Gabriel, and thanks so much!

Cheers!

Ditto, I know BMI has a company scheme but that is for BMI flights only, not Star flights.

Well done to the film maker, very interesting and I always wondered what Randy looked like!

Very well done video. Now I have a little feeling in the back of my head that I might have a physiological disorder for going on a mileage run.. Well, at least I got you guys and gals to keep me company in group therapy

If I remember correctly, he was able to keep the miles that his Thai employees earned because at the time, Aeroplan (the program he was earning these in) allowed you to designate an 'executor' on your account, giving that person control of your miles, and he did this on all of the accounts he opened for them.

Thanks for all the comments, and please keep sending the video around!

I loved the film! - Even though I have never done a real mileage run; only detours to earn some more miles (it is also not that easy in Europe). Very professionally made, and gives a good insight to non-mileage-junkies...

Great video! ^

I saw it couple days ago on Facebook. I hope more people see it. In fact, I wish it was shown before the new movie called "Up In The Air" as a short. So, people 'outside' of FT would understand why we do it.

Again great video. ^
