My Priority Pass, supplied with Citi Chairman, expires in August coinciding with when I applied for the credit card. Of course it could be that Priority Pass and Citi have decided to use a calendar year basis for the Platinum card accounts.

I guess Priority Pass uses calendar year, but you have to be active Citi Amex cardmember at a time of renewal. Also, I guess I will not be getting my next 3 free visits till 2009.

But this also means that you get a 15 month membership with priority pass as opposed to the advertised 12 month. Interesting.

Any other data points?

Just signed up for the card. How does an additional card effect the priority pass membership? Does only the main card holder get the 1st year deal?

That's very strange as PriorityPass cards don't list an expiration date; rather, they list an ENROLLMENT date. For example, my enrollment date, which is listed on my card, reads 22 Aug 08. Clearly the terms and conditions state that your membership year in PriorityPass begins when you enroll and ends 12 months from that date.

I'm not not sure what the previous poster was talking about concerning a Dec. 2009 expiration, as expiraton dates aren't even listed on PriorityPass cards issued in conjunction with the Citi Platinum Amex.

Of course, it's entirely possible that enrollments aren't being processed consistently. But I have at least two data points (me and my father) to back up what I have said.

sigh..did anyone who got the 151 error figure out how to sign up? I called the 800# from the error msg and he was useless. He told me all he could do was sign me up for the trial + $12.95/month....he transferred me to some citicards customer service # (which I figure is wrong, but he wanted to get rid of me), but didnt have time to wait on hold anymore so I had to hang up.

What the hell is going on? I even made sure my address is exactly the same as what is listed for my card, but it still gets rejected (though citibank shows that all attempted charges have gone through....so its not even getting rejected in the first place)

I just received my card yesterday and it does specifically state: Expiry Date 31 DEC 08 and when I login to prioritypass.com, under my account it shows: Issue Date: 27 August 2007 | Expiry Date: 31 December 2008

Interesting. I just received my first Priority Pass card and it does have an expiry date on the front (no mention of "member since") and the date (includes month and day) is exactly 12 months after I signed up. Nothing like consistency, huh?

ambrish Sep 6, 2007 11:21 pm

and I assume we are all still talking about the citi amex platinum membership of priority pass (not chairman or other cards), which gives the standard membership and three free visits per year ..

If all this is true, then I can't decide if i should wait for some time before applying for the priority membership now, or it will expire in Dec08, irrespective.

I just signed up for the card. Silly question. Since, I'm a newbie with the TYP program and my understanding of how it works is limited. Is there a way for me to combine the Expedia TY account with the Citi's TY account? Will I get another TYP account for the Citi Amex card?

Once you login in to TYP account, there should be an option to add your Citi Amex. You will get a new TYP account #, but they will be combined.

My cousin just reported to me that he finally was able to enroll his wife and himself today. Give it a try again and let us know.

Wouldn't work in Firefox, kept getting
"sorry, your session has expired!
Please go back to the home page and restart this form."

Switched to IE and it worked fine.
