Application link for the Shop Your Way (SYW) MasterCard is HERE.

Accumulating points, expiration, and redemptions:
You can accumulate SYW points in some of the following methods:
  • Bonus offers sent to your email (ie: Spend $750 on Online and get 200,000 SYW Bonus points)
  • Regular spend - categories: 5% in gas, 3% in grocery/restaurants, 2% in SYW Merchants, 1% everywhere else
  • "Missions" in the SYW App (iPhone/Android)
Expiration of points:
Not all points have the same expiration timeframe. Some bonus/incentive points expire in 30 days or less. Most are 1 year. You can check in the SYW app, or the shopyourway.com website. Make sure to redeem the points before they expire!!!!

Redemptions:
You can only redeem $200 worth per day. So if you redeem for a $200 GC, you have to wait until the next day to make another redemption of any amount.

Credit Line Increases
This is very odd, but according to the Chatbot on the website:
Q. When requesting a credit limit increase, is the credit inquiry a hard or soft credit inquiry?
A. Unfortunately, until we process the request, there isn't a way for us to know if a credit line increase request will be a soft or hard hit on your credit report. For this reason, we have to receive your permission to pull a copy of your credit report before we process the increase request. If you process the request online, you will see a message stating "By submitting this form, you authorize Citibank, N.A. to obtain your credit report."

To request an increase online:
In order to request an increase, you will need to go to your “Credit Home” page, and find “Available Credit” at the top of the page. Then, click on the link that says “Request Increase” to begin the process.

Weird things happening with my SYW points this month. A grocery store that coded as 3% last month coded as 1%. One grocery purchase from a week ago has not posted any points, not even 1%. And Walmart is also now coding as 1% instead of 3%. I am well under the $10k limit for the year.

Is anyone having problems redeeming points for GCs. Tried to redeem VGC or even starbucks GC, it said "order cannot be completed at this time".

Ugh, just tried now in the app and in a browser and it's giving me the same thing, "Order cannot be completed at this time".

And it’s back up. Just redeemed for a VGC a few minutes ago. Must be a temporary glitch.

Someone said yes: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/what-...omment-1769273
Someone said no: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/targe...omment-1845808

My two cents: The person who said "no" posted it 5/16, so maybe they tried spending on 5/15 and expected instant feedback? Or maybe they expected the "card not present" SMS and didn't get it?

I believe I've now hit my $2k GGR spend for May. In the last 4 months, I would check the SYW points to make sure they coded as 3x or 5x in order to confirm I've met $2k/month. I've typically spend a touch over.

Once I hit the $10k cap for the year, for instance next month in June, is there an easy way to check GGR spend for the month?

What do you mean $10k cap for the year? I don't see any cap on the GGR offer in my email besides max of $2k per month.

The 5x and 3x are capped at 10k per year. The $2k GGR promotion is how much you will need to spend if you wanted the full $200 each month.

For the grocery spending, there is a mission which will tell you if your spending is qualify for grocery or not. But it only counts up to 3 transactions.
