I just noticed an offer when I logged into my Citi AA card - "Earn 3 AAdvantage® miles per $1 spent on dining at restaurants and on purchases at movie & show theaters. Earn up to 2,500 AAdvantage® bonus miles, through 12/31/13!*"

Just thought I'd mention it because it does require registration. So if you haven't seen it - log in and check it out.

I would've loved groceries. That's really all I use that card for. Probably why they are trying to get me to expand to other categories.

How will you doit? Wonder if buying Amex or visa gift card from gift card sites work to get the 2 miles per dollar?

I got 3x at department stores, restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores. I have a retention bonus of 500 miles for 501+/statement spend, so pretty handy.

I got this offer in June on my Citi Visa, but not the Amex. The wording implies you are getting a 3x bonus, but you are actually getting your regular 1x + 2x bonus miles.

Wish I could. They are targeted. Some people call Citi and ask about promo's a thread like this would let you know what is out there. But this is most;y a thread where you compare what you got in your lunch box.

I got mine as a banner ad when I logged into my credit card account online. If you have online access - just log in and check out the left hand side of the website - one of the banners should be a 'special offer'.
