The 50% off a reward stay at the Titanium level is the only thing enticing.

I am confused and am wondering if anyone can clear this for me. I had 46 nights and diamond. Once the new year started I was down to Platinum and 29 nughts for the "current year". I have the wells fargo choice card too (the better one)

You should be Diamond + 6 rollovers. Good luck getting it fixed.

At the end of 2023, I had 12 stays + 10 rollover = 22 nights. In January 2024, I was only given Gold + 12 rollovers, but I should have been Platinum + 2 rollovers. The Choice Hotels reps on FlyerTalk were useless. They kept saying that is not how rollover nights work. I asked how they work, but couldn't get a strait answer. They even said they escalated to hire ups, and the hire ups came to the same conclusion. In 2024 I didn't book a single Choice Hotels because they couldn't give me the correct status. In June 2024, they finally gave me Platinum, but by that time I had the rest of the year booked, so Choice lost out on 40 nights.

And rollovers from 2025 are carried over to this year, because I have 16 nights this year without staying in any hotel. 2027 there will not be rollover nights anymore.

Anyone find it odd that choice sent out the following email? Am I missing something?

You may have seen the news about the exciting changes to the Choice Privileges rewards program (the "Program") in 2026. With this exciting news, we are notifying you of the updates to the Program's Rules & Regulations (the "Program Rules").As you may know, the Program Rules govern your membership and participation in the Program. We encourage you to review the updated Program Rules, available here, which went into effect on January 1, 2026.

Some of the key changes are:
  • We've adjusted our terms around earning Elite status to reflect our updated status criteria and the introduction of our Titanium Elite tier.
  • We've introduced terms for new benefits, including milestone rewards and how to earn them.
  • We've updated the arbitration agreement provision.
  • We've added examples and the other descriptive information to help you understand the current and updated terms.
By continuing to use the Program after February 24, 2026, you accept and agree to these updated Program Rules. Please contact us at 888-770-6800 if you have any questions. Thank you for your attention to this important update.

Award nights appear to count for elite qualification, too. I am not sure if this was always the case?

Do we know if accepting the milestone points versus gift cards count towards elite status?

That was the case previously in my experience.

Just redeemed some milestone rewards for points. The number of points received should have been enough to push me over the edge for the next milestone reward.
Can confirm that milestone points do not qualify for elite status or milestone rewards progress. My points balance reflects the additional points, but the elite points status tracker (and milestone rewards one as well) is unchanged.
