I do apologize for the misinformation you received. You are correct, the Choice Privileges program does not currently extend to earning points at the Choice Hotels located in Brazil. You may redeem points for reward nights at hotels in Brazil, but you do not currently earn travel rewards when staying. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are always looking for ways to expand the program and I hope we will be able to include the hotels in South America in the future. Currently you may earn points at location in the U.S., Canada, Europe (excluding Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden), the Middle East, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean (excluding Guyana and Ecuador), and Asia-Pac (including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Papua New Guinea and Fiji).
