Hostile TSA work environment at DEN

Wow.

There are so many accusations in that article, I'm not even going to try and quote all of them.

MikeMpls Apr 2, 2009 10:11 pm

They obtained a copy of an internal TSA report -- I wonder if they will post a link?

That ain't gonna happen.

Watch -- instead of addressing the problems, the TSA will go into high gear to get the source of the leak.

I meant the TV station. Now that they've run their story, there's no need to sit on the document.

I know what you meant in the first place. Who knows, they might run it, but the TSA might go after the TV station (in addition to trying to find the leak).

Just remember the mantra...you don't professionalize until you federalize.

Can anyone in the Denver area remember security there before TSA?

Is TSA getting any good press? Seems like it's fairly constant that TSA is getting press over stuff not even related to the complaints we raise.

Remember the Ellsberg papers?

They can't go after the media.

Plus once it's posted, they'll never track down all the copies. :D

If it's that screwed up on the inside, is it any wonder it's so screwed up on the outside?

"Harassed... threatened... bullied... retaliatory... inconsistent... lack integrity... antagonist... false accusations... immature... refused to answer any questions..." Any of this ringing a bell?

I was thinking they were talking about how screeners treat passengers -- nationwide.

Where's Alvin Crabtree when you need him? :D

I just posted a mini rant about this article on Fark.

I hate the sheeple. They make the baby Jeebus cry.

"The federal security director at DIA in 2006, Pat Alhstrom, talked to the committee who prepared the report. He told committee members that "he did not get all the information that he needed to understand what was going on in the workforce because what he did learn was excessively filtered."

It's no surprise that one of the biggest scumbags in the TSA, Patrick Alhstron, played the clueless idiot. He was focused on passenger harassment, so how could he know about employee harassment?

DEN has consistently been one of the most unpleasant places to interact with the Communist Party. I have little sympathy for Party Workers or Party Officials at this disgrace of an airport re: "security". A pox on both their houses. :td:

I agree with you on the basic black-and-white premise of what you said, but there's politics played within the media that might prevent an all-out airing of dirty laundry.

Don't we have a TSO in Denver around here somewhere? From what I remember, he posts occasionally and is pretty fair.

Mike
