Your airport probably squandered its resources on unnecessary personnel for shoe harassment, the Great Sharp and Pointy Object Search, BP haraSSSSment and other complete wastes of time. It's a problem that is epidemic across the system.
Er - nope, the airport doesn't have anything to do with security screening - it's performed by the TSA here... Have you not been to other airports? Denver's candy-assed sack of crap FSD routinely violates the SOP on this and other matters. Denver is the worst of the Shoe Carnival offenders and its FSD, Patrick Ahlstrom is nothing but a sack of human garbage. Groping? Why the hell am I being touched when there are no unresolved alarms? That's groping. I have, and I haven't encountered any problems - I'm beginning to see why you might have trouble, though... All of them will do it, but the federal government is forcing the airlines to use the government's ridiculous, un-American screening "standards". The airlines didn't want the TSA created in the first place and I am sure they would shed no tears if the entire disgrace of an agency disappeared tomorrow. They do? Can you explain why? I was under the impression they had neither the desire to pay for, or the inclination to incur liability in the event of an attack, accident, or whatnot. |

Charles Alfred Dreyling Jr., 24, was detained on Wednesday morning after a security screener using an X-ray machine saw the device in his luggage as he tried to board a flight to Philadelphia at Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City. "Although the investigation is in its initial stages we have found no apparent connection to any type of terrorist activity or group," FBI spokesman Gary Johnson said. Johnson said the screener saw an "improvised explosive device" in Dreyling's carry-on luggage. A woman answering the phone at Dreyling's home on Wednesday night declined to discuss the matter. Johnson said Dreyling would be charged in federal court on Thursday with possession of an explosive device at an airport. Doesn't sound like an Islamofascist to me... :) |

Sort of like the Russian plane bombers who were Caucasian and female? |

Hmmm... More 'thorough' searches? "The best service for the best customers?" Talk about getting serviced...
Meaning, ticket holder, you are not only a damned lying suspect forced to do the Barefoot Dance of Auto-da -Fe, you may just get not only the pat-down, but the push-in-and-feel-around. Just keep showing up in their lines, baa-baas. They're waiting for you, grinning... |
Does anyone know when other countries will start allowing small scissors and scredrivers? I hope this reversal of idiotic regulation spreads across Europe ASAP. It should since they enacted these stupid rules because the US asked them to.

Sort of like the Russian plane bombers who were Caucasian and female? Sounds fair, doesn't it? |

Sounds fair, doesn't it? We've become a "touchy-feely" society ... or at least our government has adopted its own twisted version of such at airports. :( "We're the government and we're here to help" "examine your body for your own safety and well-being". When do you think male genital-area frisking will become equally "frequent"? |

If nothing happens, I don't think it will happen. Those puffer machines can't be built and deployed fast enough....those are the biggest threats to TSA job security. |
