Well, I got caught once transiting TPE with a weapon after having passed TSA in the States.
Well, my "weapon" was actually a tiny wire cutter, perhaps 3 inch long and a mouth of about 1/4 inch max. Might have been able to kill a worm with it.
Kind of surprised that TSA did not find it. They do that better than finding guns.
BTW, TPE transit security is very mild. The old fashion metal detector.
