I'm still hoping that this will not last. It makes little sense, TSA staff themselves will complain, and the potential for substantial delays is remarkable.

It is difficult to find leverage. Politicians fear appearing "soft on terrorism;" airlines and airports do not like to get involved. Who is left?

The airlines were vocal during the delays last summer, but that was just about staffing rather than screening procedures.

If only we had a voice.

I had to suffer through patdowns for years because my old pump wasn't supposed to go through the scanners. I'm going to be very upset if I have to go back to getting full patdowns, especially if they are even more invasive.
If TSA is being truthful, yes you're going to suffer the full assault. Please file a police report each and every time this happens to you.

Years ago, I was rooting for the TSA to invade train and bus stations on a permanent basis because I believed that doing so would cause a major uproar from people who use those methods of transportation if they had to run the TSA gauntlet every single day.

I am hoping that this new procedure of sexually assaulting every one who opts out or alarms or is selected randomly will have basically the same effect: people will revolt.

I don't see how this is sustainable, in light of the fact that scanners give off false alarms so frequently. Well, either it's not sustainable or people will be hung up waiting for a long, long time to be groped.

Here's a video that purports to show the new full body patdown. It does not seem to follow what is in the quote below:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-W522lJtBQ

This time, in addition to the normal pat-down procedure, the officer interlocked his hands and then rubbed my genitals, first vertically, moving horizontally, and then horizontally, moving vertically.
We also, of course, don't see the screener doing the pat down from the front.

This picture in this article does seem to display the interlocking of fingers:

The video in the first link wasn't a random screening. Looks like it was created with TSA's knowledge or perhaps by request of TSA to head off any controversy. I would set this screening example aside since it is clearly being used a propaganda.

That's why I said "purports" - it was purely propaganda.

Every time TSA puts some despicable measure like this into place, I am grateful that I am only an infrequent flier, which drastically reduces my odds of being on the receiving end of one of these full body rubdowns with repeated genital contact that they laughably call a 'pat-down'.

But that day is coming. Eventually, my luck will run out. And on that day, I will be escorted from the airport by police, because I will categorically refuse the frisk. I won't cause a scene, I won't be abusive or threatening, I won't raise my voice or use profanity. I will simply refuse to allow any TSO to put their hands on my person, and when they tell me that I won't be allowed to fly, I will say, "Fine. Give me my belongings. I wish to leave the checkpoint. I will not fly today."

... and it cuts off before the frontal groin rubdown.

The "pull the pants up" kind of line is interesting, as it's a way to try to enable the TSA to make more intimate contact with the penis and scrotum of the passenger.

Perhaps you should claim to be a woman and demand a screening by a same gender screener. Might shift the discomfort a bit.

Wonder why they didn't produce a similar video of a woman being screened?

The "victim" in the first video had a clerk-compatible wireless radio on his belt. Notice that the camera never shows the genitalia groping. And, the checkpoint looks an awful lot like IAD. If people look hard enough, we can probably SPOT them without much trouble at the airport.

The AARP picture is definitely some wort of training session because the <deleted> isn't in full dress uniform, or any TSA uniform for that matter.

Reports are beginning to appear on @TSA about this new procedure.

One from someone who appears to be supportive of TSA in general:

Can't believe I'm saying this because I appreciate all they do but this am I was violated by a @TSA (female) AWFUL FEELING...I feel gross.
Another:

WOW! @TSA I'm all for airport security but the way I'm being treated for having a medical device is horrible. I think I'm calling the ADA.
Another:

Anyone know any lawyers willing to take on @TSA for planned legalized sexual assault?
Another one I can't find now regarding a 13-year old girl who moved in the scanner and was assaulted, leaving her in tears and her mother rightly furious.

Where are the Infowars' videos on this sexual groping by government employees at airports? They used to take issue with the TSA over the less sexual gropes, so will they now make a bigger issue of this more sexual groping? There's an audience for that at the center of national power.

I hope I would have the quick wittiness to answer similarly. Lol.
