IMHO, I think the reason they got so hostile is that the front-liners do not want you to know who the head honcho is, or maybe they are just ticked off because they can't stand around gabbing with each other, text/talk on their cell phones, or otherwise goof-off while he's there.

Exactly! A citizen who pushes back gets harassed and retaliated upon as an attempt at behavior modification. Petty and childish behavior by the screeners, and a distraction from what their main mission SHOULD be.

The real bad guys would be well-trained, avoid making waves, make NO attempt to stand out from the masses, and appear to be well-behaved sheep.

Yes, I get hostile treatment when I try to communicate with them. I get even worse treatment when they try to communicate with me and I ignore them and pretend like they are not there.

So, do they want me to talk to them or not?

I believe the front-liners have been told to not give out names of those higher up the ladder. It's deliberate.
