If they were passing through security at 8:45 as they are now saying, and the flight leaves at 9, they were probably not thinking about anything but getting through this silly line and to the gate.
The flight left at 8:52 (eight minutes early) so I really don't possibly see how the 8:45 time makes any sense, though it was at C104, which is fairly close to security. They probably have no clue they caused any issue and she's probably telling people hey, I was on that flight, I wonder who it was? |

nj.com/The Star-Ledger update from this morning, I called it
Local officials of the Transportation Security Administration eventually concluded the woman had boarded a United Airlines flight to Cleveland. But the security agency only arrived at its conclusion after the flight had landed in Cleveland at 10:45 a.m., and authorities were never able to talk to the woman or identify her by name. "She walked out of the checkpoint area before the screening process was complete," Ann Davis, a TSA spokeswoman, said in a statement. "Management at Newark will conduct a comprehensive review of the incident and will take appropriate action." "She walked out." It's all her fault. "She walked OUT!" At least they narrowed the culprit down to some woman going to Cleveland.   |

Of course she didn't, but the TSA can't say "she tested positive for Jurgens".

Yes, she is doing just fine and she doesn't have any problem during her flight.

One of the online news sites
Poll: Did TSA Overreact at Newark Airport? The choices are Did the TSA overreact Sunday when it delayed or canceled 165 flights at Newark Liberty? Yes. And they're incompetent, too, for letting a woman just walk away. Yes, but I don't blame them for losing the woman. No, we can't be too careful at our airports. Other (tell us is the comments). It's early, only 13 votes, but ten of them choose option 1, the rest choosing anything for security. |
FOXNY.com: TSA Adminstrator Pistole claims that Newark(EWR) has been improved
Here is some reporting from Fox 5 News Reporter Lisa Evers:
MYFOXNY.com: TSA chief: improvements made at Newark Airport Posted: Monday, September 17, 2012 10:11 PM EST Updated: Tuesday, September 18, 2012 7:58 AM EST A short quote: Fox 5 has obtained the official memo from the TSA regarding recent security breaches at Newark Liberty International Airport. The report details three security breaches over a 12-hour period at the airport last month. It also points out specific security changes that have been made at the airport since then. I wonder how much of the report was cut-and-pasted from this thread? :pIt was a travel nightmare in august many wanted to forget: 3 TSA security breaches and terminal shutdowns in a 12-hour period forced canceled flights, and even overnight delays. In one incident, a woman who tested positive for explosives residue was allowed to get on a plane and fly away unchecked. and"Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials at EWR have made substantial improvements to their screening operations to help prevent future security incidents," TSA Administrator John Pistole said in the memo. "EWR has improved and streamlined its processes in regard to remedial training and discipline of individuals involved in security incidents." The TSA said it has improved communications with Port Authority police and briefed all TSA shifts on the need to pay attention to detail. |
