This article claims he is no longer employed by the TSA. Was he fired that quickly? I mean, if he was arrested on the job at Dulles.

It's pretty sad when almost every article about the TSA has this or a similar statement in it:
I thought their cut and paste statement was over 60,000 officers. Are they trying to make it sound like they have smaller numbers in the wake of the congressional hearing?
"TSA cooperated fully with law enforcement during their investigation into this matter. The allegations against this individual are unacceptable and in no way reflect the integrity and professionalism of the more than 50,000 security officers who strive every day to ensure the security of the traveling public.

A manager at the Transportation Security Administration has lost his job after being arrested on prostitution-related charges.
. Albeit this is a non-work related offense but they still fired someone
Hotel employees were suspicious of activity and called police.

The TSA spokesman had no immediate explanation as to what, if anything, the agency did about the earlier complaint.

I'm going to have to create a new "prostitution" category on my TSA Abuse blog! They are venturing out into new areas.
Sadly, TSA Agents who steal from passengers rarely do much jail time, even though what they did was treasonous--aiding and abetting an enemy in time of war. This TSA Pimp will probably see more jail time than TSA Officers who attack and steal from the Public they've sworn to serve.
It's interesting that the TSA is using Craigslist to advertise their sex parties (according to that article). They also use Craigslist to advertise items they've stolen from passengers; sometimes they post from their phones while they're still on duty!
I'd bet if you checked this guy's Craigslist account you'll see items stolen from passengers listed there, too.

Oh, yeah, I've had a run-in with this guy at IAD, too. He tried to prevent me from watching my stuff come out of the x-ray while awaiting an opt-out.
So, let's recount this guy's record as reported by WTOP and Fox 5 News:
1) In 1999 (Pre-TSA), he pleaded guilty to second-degree assault. Yet the TSA hired him.
2) In 2009, the TSA received complaints about similar behavior by the individual. Yet they kept him employed & won't say whether they investigated in '09.
3) He told investigators that he "ran security" at IAD.
4) This week, he gets arrested on the job for the February incident.
Let's also recall that a mere few weeks ago another screener at IAD was arrested for sexual assault off-the-job.
So... these are folks that might have watched you naked in the strip-search machines, or may have groped you.
Maybe we need to start a master log of TSA screeners arrested for crimes.

(The TSA itself only admits to 200, but that's only for theft, that they've "sought prosecution for" and they stopped releasing data in 2008.)

I hope he was able to get a discounted government rate at the Crowne Plaza. In this economy every penny counts. ^

Most of you guys are non-stop TSA bashers, always insulting the individual workers there instead of directing your rage at your representatives in DC.
But this story proves that not all TSA employees are idiots, and some of them deserve your respect. This guy worked hard for a living. Pimping ain't easy!

More & An Explanation
From Today's Washington Post:
OK, now it all makes sense. Move along now, nothing to see here:
His business card, which I am holding in my hand, says" Transportation Security Manager." The day of our argument at Dulles, he flashed a "Transportation Security Inspector" badge at me. As I recall, I responded, "Oh, OK...You are the guys who climb all over airplanes in hangers and break them." (...referring to the American eagle incident a few years ago.)
My point is, if he was hired into this position in 2002, he surely would have undergone a background investigation. The basic Local Agency Check/National Agency Check (LAC/NAC) would have turned up the assault arrest. So, the TSA ignored it or simply didn't do a background investigation.
More information:
Pure speculation: Anybody wanna' bet that some senior officials were patrons of his off-duty business? If this guy is as slick as he appears, he must have literally "had pictures." I know exactly where the Silver Spring Crowne Plaza is located. It's a short walk from the Silver Spring Metro station. That means that his "parties" were Metro-accessible for anyone from TSA HQ, DHS HQ, and the TSA at DCA. (How convenient!)
More speculation: I wonder if some female clerks at Dulles were among his after-hours employees? I wonder if he pitched any "hotties" going through the Dulles Cancer Boxes?
Even more speculation: As a badge-carrying inspector, he must have known they were on to him -- heck, the alleged 2009 investigation should have gotten his attention. I suspect he thought his little operation inside the TSA was air-tight, especially if he does, indeed, "have pictures." If he's willing to publicly play the EEO card in his defense, let's hope he sings like a bird during this investigation and "outs" a whole bunch of other TSA clerks and bureaucrats -- what does he have to lose? This would be the best TSA entertainment in a long time!
OK, now it all makes sense. Move along now, nothing to see here:
Reached for comment Wednesday, Livingston, 39, said that he is innocent and that the TSA has a vendetta against him for filing a racial discrimination complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
A TSA spokeswoman said that Livingston, of Manassas, was hired in 2002 and that all employees submit to background checks. She said his employment expired at midnight Feb. 15. The alleged off-duty conduct of this individual is unacceptable, and in no way reflects the integrity and professionalism of more than 50,000 security officers, TSA said in a statement.

More information:
It wasnt the first time that prostitution allegations involving Livingston had surfaced. A Department of Homeland Security official told police that a 2009 complaint alleged that Livingston was running a prostitution scheme, Capalupo wrote.
Livingston said there was nothing to the 2009 incident. I was a visitor at a hotel, and I left, he said. It was unclear whether that allegation led to any criminal charges or discipline at TSA. A TSA spokeswoman would not immediately comment on the 2009 incident.

The Washington Post:
Ex-TSA official charged in prostitution case
March 29, 2012
[Bryant Livingston] said that he posted an ad on Craigslist for a swingers party and that no one paid him to take part. This was a swingers event, and the charges are absolutely false, he said.
andThe manager and police officers went to Room 506, where she knocked on the door, court papers say. Livingston opened it, and the manager told Livingston that she thought prostitution was going on inside. Livingston advised that no such thing was occurring, Capalupo wrote.
Livingston invited the manager and officers into the room, where they observed 11 people inside the room to include three naked females and four males attempting to get dressed, Capalupo wrote. Multiple people were laying on the two beds, and other people were sitting in chairs and standing in the room.
