We are paying you to stop terrorists from getting on airplanes. We are not paying you to terrorize innocent passengers.

No, as many here have said in the past, you are paying us to stop WEI from getting on the plane. Which is a criticism of the TDC function, as that, it is claimed, does not prevent WEI from entering an aircraft.

I love how depending upon the particular argument, those on this site claim we are NOT to stop terrorist, then say we are to stop terrorist (not meaning you, specifically). Please make up your mind. If we are to stop "terrorist" then I guess that means you support the TDC function, the no-fly list, SSSS, etc....

Just because some operatives call it "standard screening" doesn't make it any less so.

Yes, denial is a powerful tool. You wish TSA screening to be sexual assault, so ignoring all common sense, ignoring legal definitions, you and others here simply claim it is sexual assault. I get your point about denial. ^

No, actually I wish they would keep their hands off my penis.

Curiously, pedophiles do not believe they are assaulting their victims either. They truly believe they are "helping them" and that its "for their own good".

I've heard Blue Shirts say the exact same things when they perform their "non sexual" Penis rub.

Of course the pedophiles and Blue Shirts are not exclusively different groups, as we have seen when your colleague Charles Henry Bennet was arrested. (or am thinking of your other colleague, Thomas Gordon)

It's quite hilarious they they honestly believe that a patdown is the equivalent of a violent tentacle rape encounter.

What is curious is that Blue Shirts continue to call it a patdown, when no patting is involved.

Its a rubdown of the entire body including breasts, anus and genitalia.

But its "for our own good" right?

Really dude? Really?

I hate to disappoint you, but we don't do the whole "La Blue Girl" experience at ye ole checkpoints.

Some of your "we" do. You cannot speak for every screener at every airport across the U.S. I'm happy to hear you don't do this, but to say that it hasn't happen basically comes off as you calling some of us passengers to which it HAS happened a bunch of liars.

Name all of the terroroists on the "No Fly List" (aka "Retribution List"). Then name all the non-terrorists on the "No Fly List." Does the TDC have this list memorized and can check ID instantaneously against this list? NO! So, DUH!! Nothing for security...zero...zip...nada!

Did the fellow (or fellows) that got on the plane with fake IDs blow up the plane or hijack it? NO! So, DUH! Once again, nothing gained security wise...zero...zip...nada.

What don't you see about that!

I think everybody here, except maybe Rondall, is down with the fact that TSA is looking for WEI, not ebowl terrwrists.

If screening is not sexual in nature, why do so many leave the checkpoint in tears, feeling nauseous, shaking or having whatever kind of reaction, physical or psychological, that is normal after one is molested?

People are following their inherent instincts: if what happens at the checkpoint makes one feel bad, then what happened is bad.

I don't think any of us wish screenings to be sexual assualt.

However, while I believe the patdown procedure is not intended to be an assualt (sexual or otherwise) you have to look at what is happening.

"Private" areas are being contacted

Passengers are unsure what can/can't be done and sometimes even why they have to have a patdown.

Screeners are barking/intimidating them into coercion.

Screeners are providing them with false information (ie: you can't talk/photograph etc)

Some of this doesn't happen every patdown but I think you get the idea. There are some people that go into the process thinking it will be sexual assualt and come out thinking it wasn't that bad.

However, how can you explain the people that think the pat down won't be that bad and leave in tears/shock and feel violated?

Obviously, even if the procedure is legal, and even if it isn't intended to be sexual you can't predict peoples reactions when you put them under that type of stress and are touching their genitals.

So some interpret the process as sexual assualt, and even while legally the TSO is protected it still does damage to the passenger and that is why we need to look at the screening process very carefully and make changes.

I wouldn't take a great deal of comfort in the knowledge that you are avoiding sexual assault statutes.
the reaction from people is pretty clear that they don't want you folks up the inner thigh area like you started doing in October. doing your touching-not quite touching dance that sometimes does result in a lot of touching and worse. You should not be in those areas without at least reaonable cause. not wishing to be strip searched is not a valid cause for the genital area invasion that you are indeed doing. none of this is new.

your bosses are feeling the heat and that is why there appears to be the wholesale move toward ATR. The people don't want what you are doing. They despise you for doing it. They despise you for treating them like prisoners being searched in a jail.

Drop the rhetoric and you do make some valid points. My own personal, unofficial, in-no-way-representative-of-official-TSA-policy, opinion is that ATR was always part of the plan; it just wasn't ready when the AITs were deployed.
