I discovered a pleasant surprise paying at the pump at my local Shell yesterday with Ink Bold- 5 cents per gallon off! The receipt said it was Shell Instant Rewards or something like that. Don't know if it was a one-off deal or what.

Do you need to have an actual business to get this card or can I just claim to be a sole proprietor? Does anyone have a link they can share?

Also, is it possible/easy to downgrade the Ink Plus to the Ink Classic to avoid the annual fee after a year? Will this hurt my credit score?

I should clarify the 2nd question above. Can you downgrade either the Ink Plus or Ink bold to the Ink Classic? I like the benefits of the Ink Plus more but I've noticed people talking about the Bold as well. Is there a reason for that? Thanks.

Value of INK

Finally got all my tele and com bills moved over to my INK. An extra 22,212 points annually. At two cents a point value that's $444.24 per year, nice. Great program.

Ink Insider upgrades Avis "preferred" status to Avis "First". Anyone have upgrade directions? I just got the email which says sign up for Avis membership and it will be upgraded. Its been a month now and havent received any new emails about Avis first.

I have an original Ink classic card, a product transfer.
Can I transfer the "ink rewards" to my Ink Plus card? I do not see the option. They are at different addresses by the way, however a biz associate has an Ink Plus at the same addy as my Ink Cash, can I transfer pts to his acct?
Thank you!

Anyone have info on this? I have a small photo company but no Tax ID, i just claim my income to my SS during tax time. How 'Official' does the business need to be?

Well, if its of any help I was just approved. I filled out the application and it said I would receive notice by mail in 30-days. I called the Chase Business Recon Line (800) 453-9719 - and was approved after a few minuets on hold...

I was approved for the Chase Saphire Preferred Card in November and received 40 or 50k (forgetting the exact number) for that offer, I should have no problem getting the 50K points and xfering them 1for1 to United Miles after I reach the $5k amount?

Also, long-time lurker and finally making some posts here, hello all!
