Sapphire Refresh -- Project Emerald
A refresh has been in the works for a while. There had been a rumor that an Ink version of the CSR would also be released. A Chase business banker recently stated that a new Ink travel card was being released in Q2 or Q3. So, I'd expect the CSR refresh will also be released. Has anyone heard about multipliers for the CSR refresh? The word is that the Citi Strata Elite will finally be released this summer with "attractive" (but undefined) multipliers. Thanks in advance.

If true, that's a big bummer. I could live with an increased AF, but the AU fee is supposed to increase 2x, and they are reducing benefits:
- no more 3x points on all travel
- no more PP
- no more $300 travel credit
All in all, a significant step back.

Sounds like those benefits are in addition to the $300 credit.

As always, it depends on your spend. If this comes to fruition this will be dramatically better for me. Right now it's $300 plus whatever crappy Doordash they have now on a $595 card. I don't really understand the proposed dining thing because it's not in 85% of the country is it? I don't see any way they keep the $300 all encompassing travel benefit, otherwise if they do, this would be the biggest no brainer in the premium card space. Sometimes I wonder if people want their $700 annual fee to be offset by a $701 credit for breathing. I'm betting 25% of the people would still complain about that.

Think they mean this: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/rumor...-new-benefits/
It will be a full-time job to track them if you want to take advantage of the max value.

Losing the 3x general travel category would suck for cruises. Yes, you can sometimes book those through the portal, but not always. I got lucky one time and was able to book through the cruise through Chase Travel at 5x on the CSP, plus used their pay over time for the first time for no fee. It was 25k interest free for two years plus the 5x for 125k points. It looks like they've now put a cap on that first pay over time offer.
Not to mention the general "travel" category for Chase is very broad by including typical commuter charges.

Given the focus on spending through Chase portals I'm guessing the $300 travel credit, if it still exists, will be for Chase Travel. Would not be shocked if travel protections also require booking through Chase.
