Losing the 3x general travel category would suck for cruises. Yes, you can sometimes book those through the portal, but not always. I got lucky one time and was able to book through the cruise through Chase Travel at 5x on the CSP, plus used their pay over time for the first time for no fee. It was 25k interest free for two years plus the 5x for 125k points. It looks like they've now put a cap on that first pay over time offer.

Not to mention the general "travel" category for Chase is very broad by including typical commuter charges.
