Multi city flight - avoid basic economy?
Has anyone tried to book a multi city flight trip in the chase portal and have been able to book in Main Cabin (not basic economy)?
Tried numerous options with AA and never gives me the option to “upgrade” to main cabin as it does on the Expedia site. Seems like a tech issue but agents claim it’s lack of inventory access which seems inaccurate as RT tickets all have the main cabin option.
any insight would be welcomed!!

Somewhat related, but I noticed this today... Had a routing in mind with a long layover. The portal wouldn't offer it to me. So I searched for the trip as a two segment multi-city trip. It showed up, but only in Basic Economy.
But then I noticed, since it is a legitimate one-way booking, when I went back to a standard one-way search, that result had been added in, and now I could book it with regular Economy.
