This thread is for discussion of so-called Chase Offers, which have the following characteristics:
- They are visible in your Chase Online account and in the app.
- They are targeted. You will not necessarily receive the same offer on a specific card type (or even any offer at all) compared to other holders of that card.
- There may be multiple simultaneous variations of a given offer. Current offers for a specific merchant may vary in terms of discount level (e.g., 10% vs. 20%), expiration date, or maximum benefit. Pay close attention to the particulars of each offer.
- You must register for (add) an offer in order to use it. (The Chase Offers FAQ states incorrectly that registration is not required.)
- They run for short periods (typically less than 30 days), not for a full quarter.
- They generally offer a percentage discount (up to a stated maximum) or, less commonly, a fixed rebate (for spending a stated minimum amount) on purchases from an individual merchant. They are typically not for spending in generic categories such as groceries, gas, etc., although these do show up on rare occasions.
- They are typically for one-time use only. On rare occasions, however, a Chase Offer may apply to all purchases (up to a set maximum) made with the relevant card during the offer period.
- Chase will occasionally extend an offer with no notice other a changed expiration date in the offer T&C. This does not allow for double-dipping: that is, you may not use a one-time offer during the added period if you already used it during the initial validity period.
- Statement credits may take as long as to appear in your transactions.
- You can adjust your profile settings to receive email notificationusually arriving within a few hoursafter youve made a qualifying purchase.

Hotels are the worst because they are often franchise and can choose their own card processor in many cases. And in foreign countries, yeah, double difficult.
My best example is when I had Chase Marriott, many of my domestic and international stay charges never credited at the higher points rate and always required manual intervention. The issue was never fixed, I suspect the same happpening here. Good example since the hotel chains are doing so much backend discounting to keep the advertised room rate as high as possible.

For those "split payments" I have seen it all:
- Both cards get the credit
- Only one of two cards get the credit
- Neither of the cards get the credit
- Both cards get the credit
- Only one of two cards get the credit
- Neither of the cards get the credit
Also I would note that when I was missing points in the past due to a hotel transaction not being coded as travel (like your example), I could send secure message and they manually credited the points so it's always been very easy. In contrast, for these Chase offers getting manual credit is very cumbersome and sometimes does not get done at all, so I view the situation as quite different even if the source of the problem might actually be the same as you pointed out, for some individual cases.
Last but not least, since I am missing credit for non-hotels as well, I think there are other factors at play.

I have a bunch of offers for streaming services like YouTube TV, ESPN+, Paramount, etc. that seem to recur somewhat regularly, but this is the first time I can recall seeing Netflix, in recent memory anyway.
"Come back to Netflix and earn 10% cash back on your Netflix purchase, with a $2.30 back maximum. [...] Offer expires 9/30/2024. Must make first recurring payment by 10/1/2024. Offer valid on first payment only."

Yes to the first, and almost certainly at some point to the second, though I can't recall if I used this specific card. I probably used others at one point or another but they haven't been targeted for this offer (yet)

I used the Hyatt Place offer across two cards (split payment) checking out July 1st and still no credit nor does it show up under "Redeemed". I'm accustomed to Chase offers taking a very long time (relative to e.g. AMEX) to get "noticed" but this feels longer than usual...
I just received snail mail replies (one for each request):
Dear Zorak,
Thank you for contacting us about your Chase Freedom(R) credit card account.
We would like to inform you that the transaction of $xxx.xx was not done with Hyatt Place. This offer is with Hyatt Place was to earn 10% cash back on your Hyatt Place stay [...]. This was done with Grrzd - Ldg - Hp Grand Ra and hence, this charge didn't qualify for cashback. [...]

[...] Please note that the offer is not valid on GRRZD - LDG - HP GRAND RA purchases has to be made at your Hyatt Place Directly. As the transaction was made with third party the charge didn't qualify for the bonus reward.

I sent a secure message via the web portal with the case numbers, attaching a PDF of the transaction details from the Chase website that show:
Description: GRRZD - LDG - HP GRAND RA
Also known as: GRRZD LDG HP GRAND RA
Merchant type: HYATT PLACE
Maybe someone with an actual clue will review it the second time...

Zorak The problem is that Chase insists that retro claims must be done on the phone (so I was told). Providing your Hyatt Place invoice would be a very easy thing to do via secure messages, but they have set the process up to make it impossible to upload any support for our claims. The fact they responded by snail mail is not surprising.
I would love to hear that you will end up being successful via secure messages because it would make things simpler but I would not hold much hope. I suspect you will need to call.

Anyone else having problems getting the app or website to display Chase offers?

For most of my cards (personal and business) the section in the UI is just gone, for a few it shows the first few offers, and when I try to view more, I get the error above. For one card it actually worked okay.

Good news!
Let's call the above #1.
2. A week later I sent a secure message via the portal asking for a status update.
3. The very next day I received replies via regular USPS mail that I mentioned above, which obv must have already been sent in reply to my original phone call (1). As described above, these rejected my request because the merchant "didn't match"
4. I sent another secure message essentially replying to (3) and with the PDFs mentioned in my previous post.
5. Maybe 5-7 days later I received a secure message reply to (2) basically reiterating the initial rejection and requesting the address of the property so they could see why the merchant name didn't match. However since I knew we were overlapping communications I squelched my urge to reply and decided to just give them a couple more days to get to (4) in the message queue
6. Today, without my taking any further action, I just received two "Congrats! You've successfully redeemed one of your Chase offers" with the expected offer details and amounts.
EDIT:
7. One day after (6) the credits have posted to the respective accounts
What this experience may suggest then is that the initial request must be initiated via phone call? But thereafter you can send a secure message with the reference case number and include attachments etc.
And/or perhaps the process/training has improved since your previous experience.
Anyway I hope this provides some encouragement to others if they run into a similar issue, although ofc whether it's worth time/hassle depends on the amount involved (for me nearly $80 in total, so I think it was worth it
)
