However, later the same day I also requested the credit by Secure Message (for "baggage fees) and it was approved. Very YMMV now but still doable. 2/10/2017
Southwest Airlines GCs work fairly easily. I've generally bought them for $150 and said they're excess baggage fees.

Is the $300 credit now member year based rather than calendar year, or has it always been that way?
I had two reps say they couldn't apply a credit because I used all the $300 credit late last year.

It's always been calendar year. I hope those reps are just confused with the CSR which is membership year.

If you mean the JPM Reserve, yes. CSR, no. I had the CSR before I had the Ritz card, and once I got the Ritz, much better phone service. Anyway at least for me this team disappeared sometime this time-ish last year. My phone calls used to get routed to a nice human that said JP Morgan Executive Line, how can I help you? Now I get a phone tree and eventually get some agent that mutters Chase, that I'm running 50/50 on whether or not I can understand them.
I got the Ritz card in October of last year and I always got the regular (not Executive Line) customer service, no matter which number I used, until I called Chase the day before yesterday. But as of some time between last week and today, if I call the number on the back of the Ritz card I get the Executive Line. If I call a different Chase number (my Ink, Freedom Unlimited, etc.), I have to go through all the regular prompts asking me for my last 4 digits/ZIP code/to return to the automated system. But once I press 0 to speak to a human I get the Executive Line.

My wife bailed in 2020, happy as we are not a RC stayer, never used the club upgrades as dining out was a big feature in most places, and am not a breakfast person.
however, She has several club upgrades but no ritz card. When I dropped mine several years ago, they clawed them back.
Can these still be used? Are the rules requiring g payment with the ritz card enforced?
