Chase Ink

I plan to cancel my Chase Ink card. Do I need to transfer my Ultimate Rewards before canceling or will the points stay in my account? I have no other cards that are UR. If I do, should I transfer half to Hyatt and half to UA? Does this sound like a good value? Thanks!!

Your choices are transfer them to a UR partner or cash out prior to canx the account or forfeit all of them when closing acct.

As to what is best value points for points transfer vs cash that is individual specific as to which program or cash provides you the best redemption value based on how you intend to use the points/miles or cash.

Definitely transfer them all out. I agree w islehawg...only you can decide what you will get the most value out of. I transfer all mine to UA, as they have the best award availability to Thailand and I've been going 4x a year so gotta keep the coffers stocked

Or--just get another Chase Ultimate Rewards card such as Sapphire Preferred (or another INK card) and keep the already earned points by transferring to the new account. Plus, get another bonus. @:-)

And, if you apply this month you can get the 60K INK bonus.

Don't forget British Airways, which has an award chart favorable for short nonstop flights on AA or US.

I agree BA has many great short haul redemption options. However, I would not transfer my UR to them...only MR.
