Chase Sapphire error
I was not aware that I could not transfer UR to UAL miles if I did not have the Preferred card. So I mistakenly downloaded to the Sapphire Card with no fee. Now i discovered my error. Is my only option to go back and open the Preferred card and pay the $95. I was concerned with preserving my UR points and did not ask about transferring the points. From what I am reading I am thinking I can not try to open another Sapphire Card with a bonus and if I cancel the no fee Sapphire card I lose the points. True? I know I can always spend them but I really want them in my UAL account. Suggestions? Thanks.

I'm not sure about upgrading, but you could also apply for an Ink Bold/Ink Plus business card and transfer your Sapphire points to your Ink UR account. In addition to the 50K for $5K spend current bonus, you'll regain the ability to transfer your Chase points to UA.

If you previously had the Visa SP card, then I would suggest opening the MasterCard version of the SP card. I did this and you are eligible for the sign up bonus again plus they will waive the annual fee for the first year, just like a new card. Then you can combine all of your points. The agent saw that I had the other card and said that I would not be eligible for the sign up bonus, but I got it anyway.

I got the idea that I would not be able to transfer points from a personal account to a business account. The info I read said you have to transfer from the same name personal to same name personal and same name business to same name business. Am I wrong?
Also, am I correct that I would lose the points if I do not have a Chase UR card?
Since I still have the free Sapphire card is there a chance I could apply for the Master Card Preferred card and get the bonus?
