Best current Chase promo for replacement
One of my Chase accounts was messed up (long story), so I was given an option to reapply for the same card. They fixed the initial one, but it looks like the second (with the same promo) is in process. I doubt they will give me another bonus since these are duplicate, so I am looking for the best current promo to be applied for the duplicate one. I like miles I can convert into my United miles, but have both personal and business Explorer cards. Please help. Other juicy bonuses from Chase are for consideration as well.

A friend of mine had the following experience.
He was persuaded to apply for the same card in a branch. While he knew that there was a better offer available if applied online, the manager at the branch insisted that my friend would score the same sign-up bonus if the application was made through the manager. My friend believed the manager, so he completed his application at the branch. The application was approved instantly.
Fast forward to the activation call. When my friend wanted to confirm the sign up offer from phone agent while activating the card, the agent told him that his offer was a bad one, but not the better online offer. My friend went to the branch and asked the manager for an explanation subsequently, the manager told him that there was misunderstanding and offered an apology. The manager agreed to look for a remedial solution and made calls to the card center. My friend was later told that he could cancel the card and apply again online for the better offer. The application would be approved manually even if the system might disallow it at first. The only bad thing was another hit on the credit report. As my friend had very high credit score and was not planning a loan in foreseeable future, he accepted and did as told. Unfortunately, the better offer was replaced by an inferior offer. He went to the branch again and sought help. The manager called the card center again. It was lucky that a supervisor in the card center agreed to match the expired better offer given this special situation. The extra points were added to the account manually.

If your application of the messed up account offered a better bonus that whatever available now, you can call Chase and ask for a match given that they know the details of your special case.

My situation is a bit different, I`m not looking for the best offer for that specific card, but rather something different with an extra juicy bonus promo from Chase.

"Best" is different for different people. See http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...er-thread.html and look at the big blogs. Sapphire Preferred is a hot one because of xfer options.
I checked that thread before, but still not sure. I am inclined to that Sapphire Preferred card, but it looks like it has a min spend req, and I am already on several missions; however, I might take it as 40K bonus after $3K is better than 10K after $15K.
I don`t care about cash back, "best" would be a point system with option to convert them into miles with 1:1 ratio
