Anyone else got a renewal? If so, what is your expiration date?

Anyone forcibly converted to Chase Sapphire Preferred or another card?

Why would anyone be forcibly converted?

There is some information/speculation that "Starting early 2015, JPM Select will be converted to Sapphire Preferred for existing cardmembers."

http://www.drcreditcard.net/chase-jpm-select.html

Just trying to see if this is hyperbole or fact....

I emailed asking about my JP Morgan Select card and the representative responded that the card was going to be upgraded to Visa Infinite tomorrow. I don't know if this is the appropriate thread but any insight on Select?

It's not really a supplement.

It's the same account. Just the plastic version to the Palladium card. (Same design as the original JPM Select Card, but it's a Palladium card account.)

Can't get the Select card (account) anymore.

So here is my question regarding the future of this card:
If Palladium is getting force-converted to JP Morgan Reserve in October, what happens to the Select card?
I called to inquire about the conversion options and the rep advised me that at this time the only option is the CSP, which I would never want because of the lack of hidden trade line.

The only reason why I love this card is that it is a personal card with a hidden trade line. New Diners Club cards seemed like a good substitute until they decided to destroy that benefit.

Did any of you inquire about our options in October?

I plan to keep the card. Already applied for CSR.

Any reason to keep the JP Morgan Select?

I just got my Chase Sapphire Reserve and while I will keep the JP Morgan Select as a dedicated card for a specific purpose, I wonder whether anyone has done an analysis of the CSR vs. the JPM Select.

Is there something specific about the Select that makes it better for something compared to the CSR?

Many thanks.

1) All JP Morgan Select accounts are getting converted to the CSP (Sapphire Preferred) on November 3rd, so you will not be able to keep it.

2) The main advantage of the Select over the CSR is a hidden trade line, meaning the balances are not showing on any credit reports.
