Applied for the Priority Club card last night. Upon calling the recon line was asked to fax a copy of my driver's license which i did. Now they said, it will take 5-7 business days for it be uploaded into their system. If i do get approved after all this, i fear, i wont be able to get the 80k points before the devaluation on 18th March.
Any tips? |

WN is one of the next cards on my list, since I like to go to Vegas, I could get a fair bit of use out of the 50k whenever I can find the 50k bonus on the premiere card again, soon hopefully.
I've been thinking about the same thing as you. If they give me $100 in travel a year I'll find a way to use it, plus I guess it wouldn't expire, as long as you keep the card, huh? So you could just keep building a bank of WN points. I'm based out of LA, though, and may find myself making a few flights to Phoenix this year, so WN miles might come in handy. I'm feeling like the $20 difference between the annual fee and the value of the WN miles makes up for keeping the bargaining chip for when I next want a Chase card. |

This seems contradictory with what I usually hear. Chase lending specialists say that they can only approve two personals card within 30 days.
I was fully expecting that the United Explorer would eventually get rejected. I never even mentioned it during my recon call. |
I have a personal Chase card now but I'm thinking of canceling and getting another Chase card (or two). Should I cancel first or after?
What's good on the mileage earning front, aside from the BA card? I see the CSP, United, and Ink Bold cards, although it seems the latter are business-only. Can I move personal credit to an Ink card? |

It appears that all you can get now is the 30K + 5K for adding an additional authorized user. Apparently the higher mileage bonuses were pulled a couple of weeks ago.

I can still see the 50k+5k and $50 statement credit by following what this post says.

Wow. 5 Chase cards in less than 2 months. Do you a long credit history with Chase by having one of their no annual fee cards?

A data point: Applied for Ink Bold and CSP on the same day, made a newbie mistake by using 2BM and clicking the applications at almost the same time (should probably have waited until one of them went through). Neither received instant approval, but both were approved after calling the recon lines. Credit Sesame showed one inquiry from Chase, but unclear if they pulled another report from other bureaus.
I have two other Chase cards for ~7 years, the new CSP account showed up on my online account after my recon call. Newbie question: can the Ink Bold card be managed under the same online account with other personal cards? |

Yes, somewhat. You'll need to create a business login, and then you can contact Chase and merge your personal cards into that account. You can not do the reverse. This seems to cause some loss of functionality with checking and bill pay other, so I use separate log ins.

Applying for BA Visa Signature... close Sapphire Preferred account first?
Guys,
I do a fair amount of US <-> LHR traffic and the 100K Avios points on offer with the BA Visa Signature card could make those journeys a little cheaper or more comfortable. The BA card is operated by Chase, and I already have a Chase Sapphire Preferred card. Do I improve my chances of getting approved for the BA card by closing my existing Chase card, or can I have two active at the same time? Thanks, Niall |
Don't cancel. If you don't get approved for BA, you're left with nothing. If you have to call for reconsideration, you can offer to close it then and look like a reasonable consumer. If you've only got that one chase card, chances are decent it won't have any impact on this new app anyway.
