Also HT derek2010 for drawing my attention to this:

This part may apply to BEA Flyer World too, as technically BEA Flyer World earns 1.6x AM on all spending then converts at 8 pts/AM, and the 60% may be considered as bonus.

So supermarket, dept store, travel agencies, government and anything autopay will devalue from $5/AM --> $8/AM (the first four categories are suboptimal for Flyer World in any case, but autopay is a bigger headache as no miles card really work well for autopay anymore)

Again, slightly OT, looking at the BOC Sogo VS, seems that max you can spend a month to get the cashback is HKD2k as the max cashback a month is HKD100?

theworld unfortunately yes. BoC always have pretty low floors on their promos.

Alipay is also $100 but you can have multiple GBA cards. I'm on my fourth. Looking for ways to pay with Alipay.

i-Titanium (can be used in conjunction with Alipay) only needs $2,000 spend for the mobile pay bit.

But for me the emasculated BEA mobile payments at fast food promo will be almost like an afterthought - I'm going to use BEA VS for all dining and fast food with mobile pay anyway, and if so happen that merchant is fast food then the 10% is almost like a bonus that I won't have to do anything deliberately to earn.

Wait - why are you using BEA VS for all dining even without BEA days? That would be 2.4% in Coupons only. Do you not use other cards that give you a bonus rate for dining, such as HSBC VS or SCB AM?

VS: 3.6% in Rewardcash but I need my 6X to be set up for dining (it's not - mine's overseas)
SCB AM: $4/AM = 2% @ $0.08

So BEA VS 2.256% (2.4% @ 94 cents in the dollar for Mannings coupons) best option for dining.

SCB is making changes to conversion rate for 360 rewards to Asiamiles from 15000 points to 1000 miles to 25000 points to 1000 miles for conversion after Feb 28.

(why not Feb 29?)

Not really.

payall was like this from introduction. Merely now codified.

i can live with the suite/serviced apartment exclusions.

Some of the 4th night exclusions also largely codify previous practice. Full board/half board rates were already excluded whenever a room only rate is available (as I found out last time I tried to book).

Suite exclusion is actually quite annoying for us. As the family has grown we normally are now booking a suite and have benefited from the Citi 4th free fourth night on several occasions booking a suite.
