I agree, wish they rolled the HSBC Red Card benefits into HSBC VS, I don't see why they need a standalone Red Card (essentially just an online and supermarket card?). I now have 7 active cards (including Red) and I'm starting to think that's too many...

Are overseas online transactions included in the "4% RewardCash for online transaction" for the Red Card. 95% - if not more - of my online spend is overseas.

BEA VS gets 4.4% (cash back, no miles unfortunately) for overseas online spend.

Any way to get miles for CLP Electricity Bill with SCB Asiamiles card? The terms say bill payment doesn't generate any miles, would it work by paying at 7-11 or via payme?

Thanks! I've never used Alipay and actually am a bit hesistant. So does Alipay work by top-up, and I get miles for top-up, or is it more like Apple Pay, the payment just gets forwarded to the Credit Card and appears there as eligable transaction?
Is it also possible to get miles for other transactions there, such as P2P? Or does that work on Payme? Would it work to top up payme and transfer directly back to my Bank Account?
Sorry, if it has been answered before, I find fragments of answers to my questions, or years old replies when searching...

I'll put my neck out and say yes. Real spend already counts https://www.hongkongcard.com/forum/show/27970?page=12 #319 . Bill payment is coded as Business Services MCC 7399 (rather than Money Order or E-Wallet) - should count

SCMP article - Hang Seng Bank sees biggest fall in 2 months as economic weakness, virtual banks weigh on banking outlook
https://www.scmp.com/business/compan...nomic-weakness
Have read the research note from MS that article refers to. Should be good for consumers/cards going forward with the advent of the virtual banks. Expected their first areas to tackle is in the retail deposits and credit cards space
