Comments:
- The burger felt better than what I recalled. Had that as a midflight snack, and again for breakfast (Don't care much for CX's breakfast offerings). Fries..not so good..
- (wo)mannnn! - its a pain to type out (and my OCR software is corrupted ) - massive kudos to Carfield for patiently and diligently working on these threads all the while and taking care of the slack for those, who, like me have been guilty of just sending pics over!
- Typing out made me realize that while we discuss the wine options a fair bit, and while they've always been there, the Spirits' selection is half decent for a 6 seat cabin..I tend to stick to JW Blue or Signet depending on what I feel like (miss the Macallan 17 days!) but one isn't short on decent choice (now if only they stopped calling JD a bourborn

Thanks to everyone for contributing - flying HKG-JFK soon and looking forward to the offering!

Could anyone advise me on menu types and timings for CX888 HKG-YVR-JFK? Does not have to be the exact menu, if you don't have it, just what (Breakfast, lunch, tea with scones, dinner) gets served on these flights? Will there be a "champagne and caviar" pairing as well? It looks to me as if pretty much all of the HKG-JFK flights seem to get it.

Thank you very much in advance for any pointers and/or tips on what to order from those of you that have flown this route (Or the return) lately!

I'll be flying this YVR-HKG flight in 10 days. Did CX serve Krug as PDB in YVR or did they wait until takeoff to do so?

Earlier this month, as much as I can remember

CX888 HKG-YVR
- Caviar + Champange
- Mushroom soup
- Chinese soup was lotus root, ribs and dried octopus (not bad)
- Parma Ham starter (The ham was tough) with asparagus
- Wagyu beef
- Some vegetarian pasta
- Rice with I think shrimp (Don't exactly remember)
- Berries in Ginger syrup
- White fungus and dates soup I believe
- Cheese
- Some sort of cake

Breakfast was
- Eggs + the usual potatoes and sausage
- Scallop and prawn congee
- Dim sum

Snacks was
Laksa noodle soup
Roasted duck noodles
Egg tart
Ice cream

CX888 YVR-JFK
Potato and Lentil soup or something along those lines
Don't remember the western option
Abalone+Veg and Rice for the Chinese option
Cheese
Some sort of strawberry crumble/cake

Not impressive in terms of quality in my opinion.

CX888 HKG-YVR-JFK May 2019

Tip of the hat to the.wandering.aengus who sent these to me earlier today.

Quick question: If I am too tired to eat the supper after CX888's departure from HKG, can I ask the crew to save my choice for me and serve it instead as a "lunch", say around 2h before arriving at YVR? Or would this be asking too much?

Supper HKG-YVR (1st meal)

Breakfast HKG-YVR (2nd meal)

Supper YVR-JFK (3rd meal)

In First you can eat whatever you want from the menu, whenever you want. (Though to be sure of getting stuff later in the flight you should ask the crew to reserve it for you wwhen boarding since the days of CX loading one of everything for everyone are long gone)
