It's right behind the toilet, so that might be a tad annoying. Still, not nearly as bad as the infamous 11D/G which are quite literally beside the toilets.

On a short hop like BKK-HKG, I doubt it'll be that big of a nuisance.

overthinking it. that's a fine seat. 2 hour flight.

If we're going to get full FT-style here: if longhaul, i'd ask if traffic bothers you (Mrs. QRC loves being near the galley, I prefer far away). And I would avoid for long-haul personally due to galley proximity mostly, bathroom proximity secondary. But short-haul who cares, you'll be in the air 120 minutes max. 30-40 of those minutes (at least) are with the seatbelt sign on. In that seat hands down you get more attentive service out of the galley and flight attendants noticing something proactively for you. aka better service. to me the upside of more and faster coffee refills outweighs a few people walking by my seat who i don't notice anyway. again if i were sleeping I'd care. but to BKK so what? FWIW, I'm in the neighborhood of 20 or so A359 short-haul J flights at this point, a few in 12K/A, and I'd definitely take it if available short-haul. That's my personal preference. But I know everyone has their own ways of thinking about it.

Slightly off-thread but I did 11D on the A359 for the second time last night as an opup on short haul. But for the fact that it was an opup and short haul I would not be at all happy... The blessed curtain was left open for the whole sector and I swear I felt like I was an extra member of the galley crew for the entire flight. With this particular crew that was actually a bigger distraction than being half a metre from the lav door. It is quite amazing that CX opted for this and I understand have doubled down with it on the 359K. Given these are primarily intended as long and medium-long haul birds it follows that unless CX wishes to deal with seriously unhappy pax on these flights there are essentially two less J class revenue seats .

B-KPL has returned HKG today as CX3397 - now in 77A configuration with Wi-Fi.
B-KPN went XMN today as CX3382 - the aircraft will be changing to 77A re-configuration and Wi-Fi will be added.

B-KPB is currently stored in XMN as of now. I predict B-KPC will leave the fleet by the end of December. What do you guys think?

Only 1 leased B77W would leave the fleet in 2018.

773

Well I think they are leasing 5 773 from Emirates only until the 777-9 arrived in 2021. And then it's 773 will be replaced by that aircraft as I think.

I found HTJ(321) in new livery. But wait for a photo to confirm. B-hlo/t/u/v have all done long period checks at HKG, no livery changes?

777-9 is replacing 77W instead of 773. I believe CX will keep 773 at least for another 5 years as they are now undergoing cabin retrofits.

Newly wifi equipped aircraft:

B-KQD (77K)
B-KPL (77A)

That's 10/52 currently flying 77Ws completed.

thank you, sheet has been updated.

As a side-note: it appears all 77A re-configurations so far (KPL, KPQ, KPR) are wi-fi enabled.
